The Old Farm Cafe and Dining Experience — Restaurant in Town of Brighton

As others have mentioned the atmosphere is super cute- magical and fantastical, I was really excited about the place. A little turned off by a strange burnt food smell as soon as you walk in the door, but that’s fine, I could look past that. My dad got the Greek salad and raved about it- it was a big portion and looked really good. The rest of our food was….meh. The breakfast pizza LOOKED really good but was lacking in flavor. The crust is also a pizza crust looking thing out of a bag, woof. My husband thought the bread on the BLT was stale, and my mom didn’t finish her avocado toast because she said it was ‘just alright’. The strawberry banana smoothie tasted like it was made with syrup sweeteners and not fresh strawberries or bananas. The food was really quite a let down in my opinion, which is SO SAD because the atmosphere is SO AMAZING. Really amazing concept, but the entire food menu needs an overhaul from head to toe. I’d go back if the food was better, but once is enough for me unless I was in the neighborhood and needed a coffee. So so sad. I wanted to love this place I really did. Terrible. Our first time here and our last. It's a cute place with great decor. Smells like burnt old food when you first walk in. 1145am and would not let us order a salad because they don't serve lunch until promptly 12. And the girl helping us was rude AF. So glad the guy stepped in to take our order otherwise we would have walked out right away. Well with how long it took for us to get our food, they should've let us order it cause I wouldn't have gotten it for 30min anyways! Breakfast pizza looked promising, but alas, it was flavorless. Mac and cheese again, had no flavor. Even the breakfast 'everything' bagel was lacking. Eggs you can definitely tell came from a frozen box(couldnt even eat it, had to pick it off). Same with the French toast sticks. There was 6 of us and we all got our food at different times. So by the time the first one was done eating, the last finally got their food. They claimed they were backed up but there was only 6 tables in the place. Cookies And Cream shake was good. Place has potential. Needs better food...

When I tell you I was so excited when we stumbled upon this establishment, I am not kidding. Walking in was magical. Great atmosphere. I noticed it was empty on a Sunday morning, and that should have been my first tell... but I'm optimistic, so we stayed. The name makes you feel like quality homemade down on the farm quality. Excited we order. Quickly, our excited hopes vanish as they throw frozen French toast sticks in a microwave. The bacon was also not fresh. Nothing was. Really cool concept but extremely disappointed. This place could be THE SPOT to be if they made their food from scratch. Overall not worth the money spent. Really hope the ownership will realize what a great opportunity they have to really be amazing. Until then go for the coffee but...
