I am still fairly new to the Patchogue area and I feel itās hard to find decent halal food around here...all of the good reviews from you guys are always in Hicksville or queens š©Thereās a few places (like curry kebab and Kabul grill) but variety is nice! We usually drive to Deer Park to Nazar for lamachun but luckily I did a search in this group earlier today and discovered someone mentioning Angora Food Market! They apparently are both owned by the same people!) We ordered lamachuns and falafels and they were delicious! The falafels came on a bread of rice that was really out of this world. Not sure what they put in it but it had a great buttery, flavor. I canāt describe it. Maybe someone knows their recipe š¤Ŗ
Overall- Fresh ingredients and deeply satisfying! I think the Medford locationās lamachun didnāt have as much of the meat on their pizzas compared to their Deer Park location (Nazar) but it still tasted great! They also gave us bread and a side salad which Nazar never did.
We will definitely order from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really wanted lamb gyro meat with the fixings just not made on the pita. I ordered it the way I like. I initially thought the price was a little high but wanted to still give it a try. I had a client waiting for me when I got back to work so had to wait almost an hour to eat it. The meat was still juicy well seasons and I enjoyed it even thou it was cold at that point. The portion was stacked. I'm a pretty big guy and love my protein And I could not finish it in 1 sitting.. On another note I like adding feta, This was the freshest cheese it still had that crumble but also had a little moisture content. I would recommend giving it a shot, especially after getting what I feel like was two whole portions at a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAverage food. Lamb kebob was tender but tasted like its spoiled, kofta kebob was tasteless, chicken kabob had so much lemon in it it tasted like i was eating slices of lemons, burger kabob tasted like bread not like meat and rice, tasted like regular boiled white rice nothing middle eastern to it. Had some lots of safran in it but taste still was pretty plain.
Id give it 4 stars but price for grill combo was 16$. While at any halal place you'll get same amount of food with better tasting rice(basmati) and better tasting gyro meat for 7$.
So cant really give it 4 stars. Also they barely speak english. So if you use words like tough or tender you wont be...
