11/1 We've been here before for ordinary dinners & birthday dinners. The food is always great & the portions are large. The menu had numerous choices for LI restaurant week. For appetizers we chose baked clams (3) which were extremely large & crispy fried eggplant. For dinner we had the spicy seafood linguini and the eggplant parmigiano. Dessert was apple crumble & I was asked if blueberries were ok because they were in it. The tiramisu had the fresh blueberries & a strawberry and mine had none. I don’t feel blueberries were appropriate for either dessert. This time birthday dinner fell on LI restaurant week. I made the reservation on Resy which very few restaurants seem to use. I don't believe the staff read the notes. I asked for a table away from others & for a candle in the dessert in honor of the birthday that really fell on this night. Unfortunately neither request was honored. We were at a small table in a corner that was very close to another one & the staff apologized. It had been a beautiful day out and the temperature inside was rather warm the entire time. AC please. Maybe because it was LI restaurant week they were extremely busy. If we couldn't get a table in a better location at least give my candle. I was extremely...
Read moreWe had dinner on September 9@ 7:30pm. Our waitress was Florencia P. she was absolutely great as well as our bus boy ( did not get his name). Our dinner consisted of Zuppa mussels & fried calamari with the spices cherry tomato sauce. The sauce is as advertised SPICEY, my bourbon cocktail helped cool things down. For dinner, we had the Pappardelle Bolognese & the Shrimp & Mussels Fra Diavolo, I also ordered the Wedge. I had the spices dishes. The food was outstanding. The wedge and some of my dinner were " human bagged" to take home. The dinner was quite filling, being it was my birthday celebration we opted for dessert, the creme Brule. We let our waitress know it was a birthday dinner one day late. When she brought the dessert, my plate had happy birthday written in chocolate. It was a fantastic dinner. If you go to Avino's for dinner, know that if you read a menu from right to left, Avino's is not your place. With that said, the food and service is well worth the price. Avino's states that dinner is about 1 and a half hour to 2 hours. There's a reason for that. You are never rushed to finnish a course. If you like great food & service and being treated like family & price is not an issue then Avino's Family Table...
Read moreBellport village is absolutely adorable, so it’s always great to visit. Avino’s parking lot is the worst for me, I am not a fan of the rocks! The entry way is also a bit stuffy as it gets very crowded with the bar area and makes it claustrophobic BUT once you make it to the main dinning area it’s extremely cozy. The service is always great as they are attentive and fast. My sibling and I visited today, August 1 at around 4:50pm and the bread with olive oil was a nice treat. I ordered one glass of Malbec (yay: my fave) and my brother got his cranberry seltzer as he does not drink alcohol! He also picked out the food abs we had sooooo many carbs! 😂 We shared a pizza margherita and the seafood fra diábolo. Sharing is caring and also very smart as the portions are very generous! We also shared an amazing chocolate cake! It was a great meat and leaving by walking through the overcrowded bar was annoying! I took a star because it’s just such a weird layout…the restroom was fairly clean, except for her water on floor and it’s a smaller space 🤷🏻♀️but overall, it’s great!...
