Carvel — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to do so for this Carvel store. Let me start by saying this place is immaculate. I’ve order two different ice cream cakes at two different times and the cakes were done beautifully. My daughter has a severe nut allergy and I was confident that my daughters allergy needs were taken care of and taken very seriously. While I’m unsure who actually decorated the ice cream cakes, I know Desiree and Michele had been the people who took my cake order. Desiree took my order by phone and was very patient explaining the process to assure me that the cake I ordered for my daughter would be nut allergy safe. The second cake I ordered at this store I placed in person with Michele who was very pleasant and put my daughter at ease again with her allergy. We ordered an ice cream cup while we were there too. The sprinkles she used on my daughters ice cream order we could clearly see were far away from any nuts in the store and as I said earlier the store is immaculate, we could see that she had no risk of cross...

New to the area. First and last experience. Sundae dasher (something I’ve frequently got from multiple different carvel locations across Long Island) came in the wrong cup. When asked why it’s being placed in the wrong (much smaller size) cup the woman said the clear cups were the old ones. She proceeded to make the dasher and made it completely wrong. Essentially it was a cup of vanilla soft serve ice cream extremely up charged for. My boyfriend pulled up the dasher cup on the website and told the woman she was ripping people off and she knew exactly what she was doing. Clearly after reading the reviews when we left … she’s been doing it quite some time. Will not be going back to this...

I went in there last night and I ordered a medium bananas fosters sundae dasher and not only was my cup not filled he put ALL the ingredients on the bottom of my sundae and just decided to add chocolate syrup to my sundae. When I mentioned that I’ve had this many times and it’s never had chocolate syrup and he replies “it tastes good” and didn’t offer to make it over. He didn’t use a bubble top for the whip cream….he just gave me LESS ice cream so my MEDIUM sundae can fit with a milk shake cover!!! When I got home the chocolate to over all the flavor and I couldn’t taste the caramel. We ordered a total of 5 sundaes and spent almost $50 to get completely...
