Peking Chinese & Japanese Food — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Horrible customer service, but decent food. I decided to give this restaurant a second chance after a 2 year lay-off due to prior bad service. Tonight I ordered Shrimp Lo Mein combo platter and Chow Mai Fun take out from the 11 year old girl behind the counter, child labor laws don't apply in this place. When I got home and began to eat, there was no shrimp in the Lo Mein, so i gave Peking a call and told them that there was no shrimp in my meal. They asked me if I was sure and I relpied YES I'm sure. After I was told to hold for a minute the 11 year old girl told me it was impossible that they hand counted 12 shrimp. So I then asked are you saying that I'm lying, and they said they put shrimp in the platter and told me to drive back to the store and show them the food, I almost left my dinner table to bring my half eaten dinner back to see their reply, but I took it as a good laugh and will never give them another penny. Well, wish I would have stuck to my regular place. I ordered from them for the first time and went with my usual chicken and snow peas. I honestly thought they sent me the wrong dish of chicken with mixed vegetables. I got chicken with carrots, water chestnuts, celery, bok, snow peas. The snow peas are the absolute least amount of veggies in the dish for ordering chicken and snow peas.

I called the restaurant and said “I think you guys sent me the wrong dish. I ordered chicken with snow peas and got mixed vegetables.”

The guy who picked up the phone said “That’s how we make it, if you wanted chicken with snow peas you should have ordered it differently.”

Ordered it differently than chicken and snow peas? When I asked how I should have ordered it, he was dumb founded and could not reply.

He didn’t even offer to make it right, in anyway.

Poor food, poor food quality, with terrible customer service. I guess it would have been too much for them to just remake the dish as just chicken and snow peas as ordered.

Ordered three meals,Vegetable Lo Mein, Chicken w. Broccoli in GARLIC sauce and Sesame Chicken combo dishes. The total waste of the meals came to 29.93. I should have first paid attention to the tone of taking the order. Like I was bothering him. The Veg Lo Mein flavor was lacking and very dry. The Broccoli w Garlic was a brown sauce and not garlic, the chicken what little there was had two pieces that was grizzled and the broccoli was limp. Pork fried rice was sticky and chewy. The sesame chicken was oily and the pork fried rice was the same as the other dish. The eggrolls were soaked with oil. Yes, I understand they are fried but there were an oily mess.
