Salvinos Pizza and Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

First time and last time buying from here. IF YOU LIKE COLD MICROWAVED FOOD THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU. Ordered 1 cheese pie, dozen garlic knots, 2 orders of mini rice balls and 1 order of fried raviolis and a bottle of coke. The coke was delicious and even though I prefer Pepsi this was the best part of the meal. Delivery took 1 1/2 hours (expected not complaining) the pizza was ice cold and tasted as if it was made last week. The rice balls, if that's what they even were, were microwaved and filled with air tastes rubbery. The fried raviolis were made last week and microwaved. Couldn't even bite through them. This place should be ashamed to call this stuff food. Garlic knots not cooked so we don't know what they taste like but I'm sure they are consistent and they would have tasted like rubbery garbage. I would rather have eaten the fried rats being sold in Brooklyn. This place should be closed down. Wasted $60 but learned TRUST THE REVIEWS EVEN WHEN THEY SOUND PETTY. DO NOT EAT HERE. My wife and I were VERY excited to go back to our favorite pizza spot in Selden and meet the new owners. We ordered Penne Ala Vodka with no meat and a Chicken Parm hero with no Cheese.

When we got home, the chicken parm hero had cheese on it :/. We called the store and they were willing to make it right by making a new one which was fine.

What made it worse is that when we went to pick it up, the person behind the counter said “It was a Slice order and you must have not mentioned that you wanted no cheese because I put that order in there and did exactly what it said.”

When we went to show them the receipt showing that we clearly said “No cheese please”, all 5 people behind the counter wouldn’t even let my wife talk to say that it was fine. Instead they kept nastily saying “Relax!! Relax!! It’s right here on the counter!” and we’re basically pushing us out of there.

I get they are new and that mistakes happen. They were even nice to offer to deliver it to us. But blaming the customer for a mistake and cutting the customer off is not the best method to handle a situation.

Awful. Their delivery service is terrible and the older woman who works there is worse. INCIDENT #1 SUMMER 2024: We waited over an hour for delivery that they claimed would be 25 minutes. INCIDENT WINTER 2024: We've tried calling and doing pickup and the older woman at the counter is rude and nasty. We were told it would take 20 minutes. We arrived in 20 and expected to wait, at most, 5 more minutes. We waited an additional 40 minutes! INCIDENT THIS EVENING: We tried going through GrubHub (Salvinos delivers for themselves through this app so don't bother with this either) and it also took over an hour when it was promised in 30 minutes. The pizza is decent but the service and delivery are so bad, we'll never go here again. Don't waste your time with this place.
