DCano's Deli — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Food has always been great so we always order there but lately the customer service has been getting worse and now because of a miscommunication the person on the phone gave me an attitude and hung up on me.

For context I ordered breakfast for my family and when a member of my family went there to pick it up they said they didn’t have an order for that many sandwich’s so my family member re ordered them and waited there. I got multiple phone calls while I was at work and couldn’t answer. When I was finally able to answer the man on the phone asked if I was going to pick them up and I was extremely confused because they should have been picked up a while ago and the man on the phone started giving me an attitude because I didn’t know what was going on. He wouldn’t let me speak and then made a comment along the line of now having to throw them away and then as I was going to speak he hung up on me. I would have gladly gone to give them something because I do understand that they lose money and I do feel bad that there was a miscommunication but the way I was spoken to and then hung up on...

This place just opened, so we decided to give it a shot. Food was fresh, warm and delicious. The burger meat was tender, and good quality! The Reuben was ordered on Rye bread, but they gave us the meat equivalent of a full hero, which my mom said was all delicious and generous. The place is clean, well lit and has a decent beverage selection for a mom and pop size place that just opened. The carry out is packed in eco-friendly, compostable packaging if that matters as much to you as it does us. That said, we will be going back, and hope you give this place a try. Cajun chicken bowl was incredible. Very fresh-and just delicious. Customer service was great-I’d ordered avocado slices on top, and the gentleman behind the counter stopped me from being sad, by thoroughly checking my order, realizing they weren’t there, and going to get them from the kitchen. I probably would’ve made the mistake of just assuming they were in the bag. I look forward to trying their other menu items, BF had the chicken club and loved it. And...
