UPDATE The bakery just called me and threatened me that they are going to check their cameras and show me that they put the filling in. I told her that I do not want to deal with the bakery anymore since she yelled at me and called me a liar. She told me I have your name and number in a very threatening way and then she then hung up on me again. I tried calling back to explain to her to not bother since it wouldn’t resolve anything and that I just was not going back. She answered my call and hung up twice.
Please stay away from this place.

I went to the bakery a couple of weeks ago to order a cake. I had first tried their tres leches cake at a birthday party and thought it was delicious and decided to get one for my mom's birthday. The lady at the counter was really friendly and explained to me that a small cake cost around $60 and it's for 7 people. I thought the price was a bit high but decided to get it anyways because it was worth it. I told her what I wanted her to write on the cake and had even double checked the spelling. I had also requested instead of a the custard and caramel filling we wanted strawberry and pineapple.
Cut to the day of pick up. I had planned a surprise party for my mom so I had everyone getting things and we were setting up decorations. My husband went to pick up the cake around 12. The party was running a bit behind so we didn't end up cutting her cake until 6. I made the mistake of the checking it before cutting. They had spelt her name wrong after we had double checked to make sure she had written it correctly on the paper for the order. But I thought it's okay. Mistakes happen. Then we cut the cake and realize there is no pineapple and strawberries. She had made the cake with custard and caramel.
I call the bakery the next day (it was closed by 6) and I tell them what happened. The response I get "I asked your husband if everything looked good and he said yes. Once a cake leaves the bakery I am no longer responsible for it"
I told her that she had it written down. My mom had a Spanish name and my husband is American and does not know how to spell it exactly but I told her fine. I guess it was my mistake for not picking it up myself. Then I tell her about the fillings that I had previously made extra for. She said I am wrong and that she did put the correct fillings in. I told her I still had cake left over if she'd like to see it and she started screaming at me saying that I'm going to bring a cake that I had taken out the filling from and that she did not want to see it.
Then she hung up on me.
I have never dealt with such an unprofessional business before and I never leave reviews but I'm hoping whoever reads this makes sure they themselves pick up the cake and to maybe check the filling there at the bakery somehow.
Me my friends and family will not be returning to this bakery...

The cupcakes where ok . The cake pops on the other hand, were stale and all tasted like “refrigerator.” I purchased a cake pop stand to display them and was unable to use it. Every cake pop had a wrapper stuck to the top of the outside. The ones in the window at the bakery were smooth and round, that is not what I received.
