Tex's Chicken & Burgers — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Walked in to pickup my mobile order. Guy in front of me just gave his name, picks up his order and leaves. I was told someone already picked up my order and unfortunately for me, I never received an email confirmation. I offered to show my ID and credit card charge for the order to confirm, but they insisted on only a receipt.

Rahman told me the person who picked up my order showed them a receipt, despite my own eyes seeing another mobile pickup customer not providing their receipt for the pickup. I wasn't even asked for my receipt at first, only the order name. Rahman insisted this person who picked up my order was a longtime customer who always gets the same thing, so I asked if he had the same name as me. Appearing to be caught in his own strange lie, Rahman said he didn't know this customer's name, but that he knew this customer and they had a receipt.

At each interaction Rahman insisted on talking over me and appeared to be lying at several other points, including telling his colleague that if I continued to press the issue to have the boss speak to me. When I asked to just speak directly with said boss, Rahman then did what could only be described as a child feigning forgetfulness and saying "Oh yeah, the boss is actually no longer here". Okay.

Rahman seemed intent on doing everything possible to avoid acting in a way that represented any kind of customer service, including checking my NYS Real ID to verify my name; verify the email address on the order; verify the CC charge on my account, or doing anything resembling an attempt at resolving the issue.

First time there and would not be the last! My neice and nephew wanted dinner from here to celebrate their graduations. We ordered the following for 6 people: Three orders of # 1 (burger, fries, and drinks), One order of # 13 (6 piece chicken tenders, fries, biscuit and drink), Two orders of 4 for $4 (3 thighs and legs and a biscuit. One of the orders was the spicy chicken), and a side of large fries. Unfortunately we didn't get any biscuits with our meals. HOWEVER, they made it up with an extra piece of chicken! THAT'S how you do BUSINESS! Also! They did not make us pay for the sauces we requested because we had a very large order. Again! THAT'S how you do BUSINESS! All the food came out to around $56!
