Tonight I met one of the nicest guys at a little tiny halal place by my dog groomer. First of all shout out to my amazing dog groomer All Elite Animal Care and Grooming my dog has never looked better. So when we went there we had never been to this all place but we decided to give them a shot and we're glad we did. It is called the The Halal Hut located in centereach on Middle country road. It is right behind the newish Dunkin' donuts The boy child has a headache so he didn't feel like coming out with us so we picked up some fried chicken for him. He had some and said it was delicious. We ordered my daughter two empanadas one gyro and one chicken. They are full of filling and pretty good... That's right I took a bite of each. We did not expect them to be as large as they are so we also got her a gyro. She'll save one of them for lunch tomorrow. Like many other halal places it's a build your own. So when you look at her gyro please note there is no lettuce or tomato because she doesn't enjoy that but they offered peppers and onions that she loves. I got a spicy chicken platter over rice. Covered in white sauce and with a little bit of the spicy red sauce. Traditionally from the halal places I go to the red sauce is very thin. This one was almost like a tomato sauce consistency and a chunky one at that. It's pure fire.... Meaning it's both spicy and awesome. We will add this to a list of places that we will definitely go back to. In speaking with the owner guy he told me they're opening up a new location in Stony Brook soon.

We enjoy Halal, so we decided to try this place tonight. Walked in to a clean, small store front with a handful of tables to stay and eat. The drink refrigerator in the corner provides limited choices of soda, diet, and water, and I believe iced tea. They also have fruit punch and lemonade on tap. We were quickly greeted and served by a very friendly and helpful employee at the counter. My husband ordered a 5 piece chicken with fries. Chicken pieces were small, but he said one of the best Halal fried chicken he has had. I ordered the protein over rice. I was looking forward to trying the cod and was advised they no longer serve that. Disappointed, I settled for the gyro (lamb) meat. I'm very basic, so I only topped it with peppers, onions, and hummus, no sauce. While very flavorful, it was warm to cold. The rice was also very flavorful. The hummus was creamy and fresh and had a kick of pepper to it. Next time, I'd like to try the chicken as well as the shrimp. We will absolutely return.

Stopped by this place today, and was greeted by friendly staff. They asked me if I wanted to sample some of the meats which took me by surprise and was actually a nice gesture. I ended up ordering the grilled chicken over rice with assorted toppings and white sauce. The chicken was very fresh and tender. Compared to shah's which can be a hit or miss of dry wet meat. As well, portions were very generous. I consider myself a person who eats more than an American sized portion, and I still couldn't finish the platter. Overall, this place is definitely worth the stop. Different palate compared to Shah's but everything was fresh and the service was phenomenal. -Updating this review to say this place is still one of the best Halal spots locally. Portion sizes are amazing. Cod was fresh, the fries were on spot as well. Just make sure to park in the Dunkin Donuts parking Lot

With competition fierce on a busy intersection like Middle Country Road, Halal Hut made the risky decision to open here, but I am glad they did. The ambience of the restaurant is amazing. I really dig the aesthetic lighting on the side, the high ceiling, and the neighborhood-like wallpaper, makes me appreciate a local business more. The service was also incredible. They were very considerate and friendly, and allowed us to take our time to decide what we wanted along with recommendations. I got a combo mixed platter with a bunch of different toppings like lettuce, chickpeas, peppers, cheese, etc. Their serving is Subway-like where you assemble your platter down the line. The spicy chicken is good, it reminds me of the chicken we'd eat at home with paratha, so next time I will try to change things up a bit since I eat that a lot. Lamb is great too, I really like the diversity of options. Chickpeas are a great topping to add in general. You also cannot sleep on the Masala fries, they are really good and live up to the hype. All workers complied with COVID-19 regulations i.e, disposable gloves, mask-wearing, etc. The portion sizes were generous, my brother and I both could not finish our platters. And no, the white sauce is not ranch, ranch does not go with a platter period I feel most people would have noticed and not eaten it. I know the competition is tense with nearby Shah's but I honestly feel the Halal Hut is better. For starters, the meat tastes fresh and warm, unlike Shah's where the meat feels damp and microwaved. There is also more diversity of flavor and options at the Halal Hut. I would recommend you all change up the chipotle sauce, I feel the sweet variant works for some people but not everyone. Maybe incorporate another type for the people who don't like the sweet flavor but that's just me. I look forward to coming back and trying the sandwich options. I also like the location of the area. It's nice knowing I can go to a Dunkin and grab some coffee/hot chocolate and get a gyro in close proximity. The staff have also been giving out free samples so do be on the lookout for that. I urge any Long Islander here to support a local business, it's great to see Halal options becoming increasingly popular within our area,...

Rizwan at Halal Hut provided exceptional customer service that truly stood out. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile, setting a positive tone for my visit. He was incredibly attentive to my order, patiently answering all my questions about the menu and ensuring that I felt valued as a customer. Rizwan went above and beyond by suggesting menu options based on my preferences, which turned out to be excellent recommendations. His professionalism, combined with a friendly demeanor, created an enjoyable experience. It’s rare to find such dedication and care in customer service, and Rizwan exemplifies the gold standard. He made my visit feel special, and I’ll definitely return because of the outstanding service he provided.

Halal Hut delivers an incredible dining experience with their consistently delicious food. The gyro platter is a standout, packed with juicy, flavorful meat, perfectly seasoned rice, and fresh toppings. Their sauces, especially the white and spicy red sauce, add an explosion of flavor that keeps you coming back for more. The portions are generous, making it a great value for the price. The chicken over rice is another favorite, with tender, marinated chicken cooked to perfection. The freshness of the ingredients is evident in every bite, and the balance of flavors is impeccable. Whether you’re craving a hearty meal or a quick snack, Halal Hut has something for everyone. The quality of their food, combined with excellent customer service from staff like Rizwan, makes this place a must-visit. It’s a true gem for halal...
