With competition fierce on a busy intersection like Middle Country Road, Halal Hut made the risky decision to open here, but I am glad they did. The ambience of the restaurant is amazing. I really dig the aesthetic lighting on the side, the high ceiling, and the neighborhood-like wallpaper, makes me appreciate a local business more. The service was also incredible. They were very considerate and friendly, and allowed us to take our time to decide what we wanted along with recommendations. I got a combo mixed platter with a bunch of different toppings like lettuce, chickpeas, peppers, cheese, etc. Their serving is Subway-like where you assemble your platter down the line. The spicy chicken is good, it reminds me of the chicken we'd eat at home with paratha, so next time I will try to change things up a bit since I eat that a lot. Lamb is great too, I really like the diversity of options. Chickpeas are a great topping to add in general. You also cannot sleep on the Masala fries, they are really good and live up to the hype. All workers complied with COVID-19 regulations i.e, disposable gloves, mask-wearing, etc. The portion sizes were generous, my brother and I both could not finish our platters. And no, the white sauce is not ranch, ranch does not go with a platter period I feel most people would have noticed and not eaten it. I know the competition is tense with nearby Shah's but I honestly feel the Halal Hut is better. For starters, the meat tastes fresh and warm, unlike Shah's where the meat feels damp and microwaved. There is also more diversity of flavor and options at the Halal Hut. I would recommend you all change up the chipotle sauce, I feel the sweet variant works for some people but not everyone. Maybe incorporate another type for the people who don't like the sweet flavor but that's just me. I look forward to coming back and trying the sandwich options. I also like the location of the area. It's nice knowing I can go to a Dunkin and grab some coffee/hot chocolate and get a gyro in close proximity. The staff have also been giving out free samples so do be on the lookout for that. I urge any Long Islander here to support a local business, it's great to see Halal options becoming increasingly popular within our area,...

Halal Hut delivers an incredible dining experience with their consistently delicious food. The gyro platter is a standout, packed with juicy, flavorful meat, perfectly seasoned rice, and fresh toppings. Their sauces, especially the white and spicy red sauce, add an explosion of flavor that keeps you coming back for more. The portions are generous, making it a great value for the price. First of all shout out to my amazing dog groomer All Elite Animal Care and Grooming my dog has never looked better.
So when we went there we had never been to this all place but we decided to give them a shot and we're glad we did. It is called the The Halal Hut located in centereach on Middle country road. It is right behind the newish Dunkin' donuts
The boy child has a headache so he didn't feel like coming out with us so we picked up some fried chicken for him. He had some and said it was delicious.
We ordered my daughter two empanadas one gyro and one chicken. They are full of filling and pretty good... That's right I took a bite of each. We did not expect them to be as large as they are so we also got her a gyro. She'll save one of them for lunch tomorrow. Like many other halal places it's a build your own. So when you look at her gyro please note there is no lettuce or tomato because she doesn't enjoy that but they offered peppers and onions that she loves.
I got a spicy chicken platter over rice. Covered in white sauce and with a little bit of the spicy red sauce. Traditionally from the halal places I go to the red sauce is very thin. This one was almost like a tomato sauce consistency and a chunky one at that. It's pure fire.... Meaning it's both spicy and awesome.
We will add this to a list of places that we will definitely go back to. In speaking with the owner guy he told me they're opening up a new location in...
