Brendels Bagels - catering — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Fairly new to the area and have recently started going this Brendel's...Have been there a couple of times and the vibe is unwelcoming...Kinda disappointing and don't think I will going back!

So the owner of Brendel's wants me to be clear so that they can help me in the "vibe department"...And nowhere did I mention the food, the "show" and cleanliness...I gave one star...The one time...

Okay, with the "vibe' thing, you can start by not having one person to pay for their order before everyone else while the aforementioned everyone else paid for orders after they got their grub...

Two, when someone calls from an area code that may not be your typical Suffolk County area code, don't slam hang the phone up on the person calling from the aforementioned area code...

This isn't my first review and won't be my last...So thanks for the suggestion of using the internet properly...I got this!

The review is credible and the "unwelcoming vibe" was me trying to be nice...You say you welcome all of your customers?! Hard to tell...Either way, as previously stated, going to this bagel shop the couple of times I did leaving with the feeling that I was left with was disappointing and won't...

Have visited this location a few times since they are opened so hoping my feedback is helpful going forward ! The first time my Husband tried a bacon egg and cheese and did not like it overall ( quality and taste he says ) I said let’s go back another time for lunch and see how it is. The sandwiches were definitely good but the salads were dry and needed more Mayo/salt. We ordered some of the Italian cookies to go but they were all stale and dry. Decided to go today for a 3rd time for strictly bagels. While i appreciate a good seasoned bagel these were definitely over seasoned and were like a crust. The bagels had so much cream cheese on them that we probably could’ve cream cheeses 3 more bagels. I know some people like a lot but it was just way too much. I ordered tomatoes for my bagel and received one thin slice on the entire bagel. The proportions just seemed to be off. I think some things are hit and miss but I’m still willing to go back as I think things will only get better from here ! I wish them much success as I feel like it’s a great location and with some improvements ( also based on some other reviews ) things will...

Beautiful bagel shop with such variety. Friendly staff. First time stopping in to have breakfast. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel. Initially disappointed that the cheese wasn't melted, it was sitting on top of the bacon, which I had to pull quite a bit of fat off from. Bagel itself was a great taste and texture. (I'm used to bagels from Queens and some L.I. spots lack in texture, this place was good!) It made me forget all about the unmelted cheese. With the fat removed, the sandwich was very tasty. Coffee was hot and the coffee bar was full of everything necessary to make it exactly how you like it. I will definitely go back. Would love to try their lunch and some of the delicious looking baked goods. Purpose of this post is not to deter customers because it's definitely a great, little spot; it's more to inform the shop that the bacon could be less fatty and melted cheese is preferred by most (on top of the egg, rather...
