Uncle Joe's Famous Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

This is my updated review of the "Uncle Joe's" pizzeria at what used to be Papa Nick's in Bellport Village.

Papa Nick's was amazing and I'm sad it's gone. We have many happy memories from there and the food was reliably absolutely great!

Sadly, while the new staff at the "Uncle Joe's" was polite, and the restaurant still looks clean and nice - the food is quite different from Papa Nick's, and not to our taste at all.

The old crispy crust is no more (this is pizza like you get when you go on vacation to another state), the garlic knots are dry and bland (& now cost a dollar each), and the Greek salad was mostly just lettuce, with no stuffed grape leaves.

I regularly order from them and pick it up. Food is above average compared to other pizzerias. Between talking to employees on the phone and at the location they aren't respectful or friendly in the slightest.

Tonight an order was placed over the phone and wait time was about 20 minutes on a Friday night, no problem. Get there and apparently the card reader doesn't work after trying it a couple times. Had to go to the ATM. Came back and wasn't offered anything for the hassle. After checking my account they did charge my card. And of course the rudest woman in there didn't give me a receipt. An...

Amazing find! We stayed in an Airbnb for a holiday and this was our local pizza takeout. Being from the UK we weren't used to the size of the pizzas (or "pies") and I ordered 3 of them each at 18"s for family dinner but thankfully they were so delicious that the extra pizza we had left over served as a wonderful lunch the following day. I hope the good people of Bellport appreciate just how good this place is. The delicious garlic knots added to our order as a complimentary surprise deserve deep thanks on their own!
