Yaya's Gyros — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Unfortunately my experience was not a good one. I pulled up to the cart to order food which I did and got back in my car to wait. As I was waiting a white woman (oh yeah im a black male) pulls up while he was making my food. He stopped to take her order and did and she went back to her car to wait. After that another gentleman pulled in same process went back to his car. Somehow for some reason the lady who order at least 5-6 minutes after me got her food before me and it wasn’t a little item it was a full order. The guy then ask me before getting back in the truck what was my order again. Even if it was another black person he helped first I would have still be writing this review. Don’t listen to anyone that hates on this place. Hands down the best beef and lamb gyro I’ve ever had before. If I could give Yaya’s more than 5 stars I wouldn’t hesitate. The pita was so fresh and the lamb and beef were so flavorful my mouth was watering while bringing it on the way home. The gyro was loaded up with lamb and beef that I could barely fit it in my mouth lol. The home made tzatziki sauce was phenomenal and no other person could make a better one. The owner was one of the nicest people I’ve met before and even brought the food to my car. Not many other places can say they do that. Food service was quick and the people that complain have nothing else better to do than type a bad review on their phones. Literally stopped by and got home 10 minutes ago. I have to start work at 6:00 and was going to stop at Arby's and grab a gyro, but I caught Yaya's and made a u-turn. So glad I did. Grabbed two gyro and a coke. Eating the first one now and it is super good. Freshly grilled. Just really good. This is going to be my new weekend stop.

Update 10/14/2022 - Went again today. It has become my traditional Friday lunch. Ordered the Greek gyro and the chicken stick. Everything was super tasty, and the pita was really good. If you have not stopped here, give it a try.

Update 04/26/2024 - sitting here now waiting for my order. Still remains the best...
