Whoa, I did not expect this. About 30 minutes ago I just left the restaurant, having eaten a dinner with all my wife’s colleagues and friends. I really thought this was just a pizza parlor- but let me tell you, from the table bread with Tuscany oils and herbs, to the main course, this was by far one of the BEST experiences I’ve had eating out at an Italian place. The fettuccini Alfredo was excellent, the penne a la vodka was also excellent- pastas cooked perfectly and well-sauced with freshest ingredients. . Even the house salad was fresh and perfectly balanced with dressing, not too much, not too little.
But that’s not the highlight of the night. The Manicotti dish was one of the best I’ve ever had. Delicate pasta shell cooked magnificently, in a homemade sweet marinara with fresh melted mozzarella on top…you ask yourself- with a beautiful presentation like this could it get any better? Well, the ricotta inside blended slightly with fresh herbs and cooked exactly to perfection, was the creamiest Ive ever known a manicotti dish to be. I work every day in NYC and can tell you this dish was better than most restaurants downtown. Clearly a 10/10 with a friendly staff and a clean environment, I had no idea this gem of a restaurant existed outside of the 5 boroughs. They just fired an employee I believe a waitress and we're having the conversation about her conduct right in front of customers this is your typical business that does not know how to deal or properly that girl should have been taken in the back office or at least in the back and explained why she was being let go but no they did it right in front of everyone and the cursing now the slices I have been getting here lately have been burned on the bottom and tasted like burnt oven it is ridiculous how a pizza guy does not keep the ovens clean during operation hours just another Miss guided business by misguided people. And by the way the food is not that good on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a five and the staff behind the counter is very friendly but that's not what makes a business a good business my reviews are always Fair ever since this place was sold the pizza changed and the food changed and not for the good and as usual this business will change hands again because you're basic business on Long Island or anywhere for that fact does not know how to operate properly they cut Corners with cheap ingredients like this place I do no the delivery people who deliver their ingredients and some of the gradients are the cheapest money can buy so that tells you a lot about a business all they are looking for...
Read moreMy family has been coming in and taking out for years. A few months back my mother and her friends had gone in for dinner and were treated poorly by a extremely rude waitress. Which really had turned me off to ordering but we had always loved their pizza and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. About a month ago we ordered our pizza to be delivered and they told us 35 minutes over an hour later we still didn't have our food so we called to check on our delivery. We were told it was on the way. An additional 30 minutes later still no food. We called again and we're told the same thing he had left and was on his way. It took a total of 2 hours before our food came. When it arrived it was cold and not even what we ordered. My husband called to complain and they were not answering the phone. Now I'm sure they don't make it a habit to ignore calls during business hours which can only mean they were ignoring the calls from our number. We decided then not to use them anymore. Now a few weeks later my mother is baby sitting at my house and orders from them again and the same thing over 2 hours for delivery and ice cold food. We will never use this...
