Charlie O’Neills cafe — Restaurant in Town of Cairo

We are in town for a couple days. Ate here years ago and liked it. Decided to give it a try. Came with my sis and her hubby and my spouse. You need to order at front counter. I chose eggs Benedict. It was to have spinach, no protein. Asked for no sauce. The eggs were done to my liking, spinach was pitiful. Wasn't fresh but from frozen Only other thing was home fries. . My sister got irish bkfst and enjoyed it. Other meals were turkey Reuben and burger. Both were great and enjoyed. Atmosphere was pleasant. Server brought food to our table. Only bottled drinks, and selection was very limited. As a side note, they have country music playing...

Food was ok, I ordered 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast. the eggs were great, bacon was crisp and flavorful, the home fries needed a few minutes more, and the toast tasted pre toasted, frozen, and then microwaved to warm super chewy. The restaurant looked quaint and the interior of the restaurant was well suited, we ate outside on picnic tables which was fun. overall I think O'Neill's was ok though price for what was ok food with highs n lows, I may eat here again in the future and hope it was just an off day...

Amazing little cafe! Stopped in for breakfast in our way home from vacation and we are so glad we did! Food was hot, delicious and plentiful! Blueberry pancakes and breakfast potatoes were incredible as was everything we ordered! The people working there were so friendly and kind too, making our whole experience wonderful.
