Cozy Cup Deli — Restaurant in Town of Cairo

My husband and I had the opportunity to visit the Cozy Cup Deli and we're so glad we did. From the moment we entered we felt truly welcome. Very Cozy! We were greeted like friends, not just some strangers walking in off the street. We visited at the height of the lunchtime rush (crazy busy time) but the wait was well worth it! My husband ordered the Italian Stallion, which he said was the best Italian style sandwich he's ever eaten, and I ordered a BLT with basil pesto mayo on toasted sour dough bread. And OMG, my mouth is watering just writing about it, it was so delicious! The prices are right in the range you would expect and the portions are generous. I would have to say that getting to meet and have conversations with the owner, Thomas, was a highlight of the visit . He's such a genuine, friendly person and a great conversationalist. Been eating lunch at the Cozy Cup deli for a few year’s now, never dissatisfied. From the moment I walk in and I’m greeted by the owners, the experience is always a good one. From over stuffed sandwiches and fresh daily home made soups, always satisfied with whatever I choose for lunch that day. The friendly and warm service with a smile was also part of that day’s lunch.

I just got back to the area after being away since last summer and went to Cozy Cup for lunch. Found out the place had been sold, the new owner, Thomas was behind the counter. We spoke and I told him about my history coming to Cozy Cup. He’s a really nice guy who I believe will take Cozy Cup to a new level that will be very welcomed by the people of Cairo. A ton of new selections to choose from, yet still the same great older favorites of mine.

The owner Thomas is personable and inviting, very friendly and smiling always. He is passionate about making customers happy. There are ALWAYS daily specials and the menu has it all. I love the Reuben, any soup du jour, the turkey and roast beef sandwiches are magnifique'! They use Boar's Head meats. There are homemade desserts, fresh coffee, juices, sodas etc. There are 4-5 tables inside this COZY place as well as a few counter seats facing main street. Prices are reasonable and each sandwich comes with pickles on the sides and a good handful of chips. I have enjoyed every sandwich I've eaten from this place. Parking is never a problem.
