I went to Star with a friend this past weekend for an event, which happens regularly here, and had a great time. My family and I go here at least twice a month to get together and enjoy it every time. They have live music very often, which showcases local artists. We are big lovers of live tunes. There is trivia here as well that cycles on topics and always is a good time. It is a good sized building with a large outdoor capacity, lots of parking, and rentable firepits on the lawn. These are absolutely worth using at least once in the Fall. The staff are always so kind and very helpful in finding a good choice for you. Cider is a acquired taste, and I am a bit picky, but the rotating offerings and ability to choose a cocktail or beer makes the choice much easier. There is plenty to keep you occupied here. Our family likes to indulge in the board games. The food is so good, Nenos. I always get carnitas tacos and its messy, but full of flavor. I have not been...
Read moreAlright, I'm a normal guy who lives in the area and I'm going to give it to you straight. The cider is good, and I appreciate they show up to local events, but they may as well close the venue. My wife and I (Just the 2 of us) spent $45 on an app, and an entree. Listen, that's not bad, but check out the pictures linked to see what we received. I work hard for my money, and that is NOT a $45 value. I wasn't rude about it, but I asked an employee if they thought that was a $45 value, and they agreed it wasn't. Then ordering and serving myself, the tablet had the audacity to ask what I wanted to tip. Tip for what? The CMAC business is only going to carry you so far. Do better. We...
Read moreA very casual atmosphere where the drinks are interesting, and paired with fantastic Mexican food, it is a must visit!! There is tons of outside seating, but a great mix of pavilion seating, and benches with shade umbrellas out on the grass.
There are so many different cider cocktails that there has to be at least one for everyone. With that being said, I'd highly recommend ordering a "flight" (sample) so you can try 4 or 8 flavors! Some of the flavors may surprise you, some not, but that's the experience we were after, just trying something new!
On the food side, the Mexican food was REALLY good! I just read that the owner/chef was planning to have a taco sampler sometime soon, so we will definitely be back to check that out. My party had an order of fish taco, one burrito (huge, tons of beef), and one loaded nachos w/shrimp. Everything was...
