Grandpa Pete's Sunday Sauce — Restaurant in Town of Catskill

I. Being an Italian and raised with all Italian traditions including gravy(sauce) every Sunday with macaroni. As did all generations before me. The term gravy comes from my relatives from Italy told us. Gravy is made with meat. Sauce isn’t EX marinara sauce. (MA DEE. NA) so I would never think to try jarred sauce, I have and I only found one I liked for emergencies, as in omg my husband will be home any minute he’s getting macs with jar. Sauce. He kinda new lol. But we were camping in Columbia Cty recently and wanted something that’s not a camping food. We went to this farm stand called TACONIC ORCHARDS. THEY HAD EVERYTHING. WE CAME UPON THE JARS OF SAUCE AND YOUR BRAND STRUCK OUR APPETITE. AFTERALL HOW CAN ANYTHING CALLED “ GRAND PAS SUNDAY GRAVY WITH MEAT” be anything but delicious! Ok. There are NO WORDS to first of all, describe the aroma permeating from the kitchen. The cabin smelled like my grand ma’s ( nanny) kitchen. So I was obsessed and boiled macaroni and used the gravy. That first forkful had us falling over in disbelief of the extraordinary simulation of perfect replication of OUR GRAVY. So I ordered it. I even use it like tomatoes after I make meatballs and sausage. But either way. O M G. IT HAS TO BE THE BEST EVER JARED SAUCE I EVER TASTED EVEN OVER MY GRAVY WHICH IS GREAT. YOURS IS EXCELLENT. SO I ORDERED A CASE. NOW IM HERE TO ORDER MORE. YOU NEED TO MARKET THESE IN SOME STORED WHERE IT CAN SELL ITSELF. ESPECIALLY IF THEY DO A SAMPLE TABLE. PEOPLE WILL FAINT LIK. SO IM GOING TO ORDER BUT FURST I FELT I had to share this great story of how excellent grandpas Sunday gravy with meat, changed my tradition for the GREATER GOOD LOL Thank you all. I discovered this sauce probably 8 years ago.. I’ve been a big fan ever since… my family and friends are also big fans… unfortunately it’s not sold so much locally where I live … we have traveled pretty far and purchased it by the case as not to be without it!!! Our personal preference is the marinara sauce!!! Funny story how i discovered Grandpa Pete's!!! They were given my lost phone at a fair leading me to their booth. Fate.... I think so. I tried all of the sauces'. Everything was amazing and my favorites were the Vodka and the Marinara sauce. I bough home a few jars of both and my family raved how amazing they both were.
