Airport Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Cheektowaga

We came here straight from the airport, so it is aptly named. It was the highest rated one in the area and although we came for the Buffalo Wings, the Pizza was undoubtedly the star. I find most places just added too much salt (for flavor, or lack of it), but the pizza here was perfect all around - amazingly crisp crust but only at the very outer layer, a moist and chewy inner layer, fresh and savory ingredients.. made this one of the best pizza I have had. And our party was coming from NYC with me living in Chicago for 25 years... not to mention a few trips to Italy... so you can believe me when I say it was impressive. The salad was fresh and good as well. The Buffalo Wings were great - not overly salty or too much vinegar. My dad would order pizza here probably once a week back in the 90s when I was a kid. The owner Jeff is the nicest guy and I remember that my dad and Jeff would talk about football and NASCAR while my dad was picking up a Pep pie and antipasto. I moved to Arizona back in 2001 and have come back to Buffalo in 2015 and 2016 to spend time with my dad. I told my dad that after he picks me up from the airport in Buffalo that we go STRAIGHT to Airport Pizza. The owner Jeff knows my dad (Dennis Prescott) well and he even recognized me when I came to visit from AZ. Buffalo in my eyes is the pizza capital of the world. The pepperoni pie and wings that Airport Pizza made when I visited my dad reminded me of the days when I was a kid. Airport Pizza is HANDS DOWN the best pizza in Depew, Buffalo, New York and quite possibly the best in the U.S. Jeff and Airport Pizza dish out 10/10...

Airport Pizzeria Cheektowaga, NY. Has been here my entire life. Went there as a kid and now as a retiree. Pizzas, subs, sandwiches, salads, antipasto are fabulous. They even cater! We especially love the salad with grilled chicken - chicken is just grilled and tender. Still haven’t tried all the pizza possibilities because I love the ones I always get! Mushrooms and onions, white pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, cheese pepperoni, onions and mushrooms. Salami sub with thinly sliced onions, cheese, let/tom, oil and mayo, then whole sub baked In oven to crisp up roll - love it! Local Place for pick up or delivery or eat in with small restaurant seating area like being in Italy or France! And then at Christmas, they bake fabulous cookies!
