Sofra Restaurant and Bakery is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the wonderful aroma of authentic Turkish cuisine. The food was nothing short of spectacular, making this one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had.
We started with the hummus, which came with warm, fresh bread that was just perfect. The gyro pide was bursting with flavor, and the meat and cheese combination was a real hit. The star of the meal was the mixed grill—every piece of meat was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The rice was aromatic and delicious, and the vegetables added the perfect balance to the dish. My wife had the chef’s special, and the meat was unbelievably juicy and tender.
Even the kids loved their meals, with my daughter giving the restaurant a 10/10! The paca soup was a pleasant surprise and is a must-try for anyone visiting. We finished off with their baklava and rice pudding, and they were the perfect end to an incredible meal. The sweets display alone is worth a visit!
The ambiance was spot-on, with relaxing music that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The interior is elegant, especially with the beautiful chandelier as a centerpiece. Everything about this place feels warm, inviting, and top-notch.
Overall, Sofra Restaurant and Bakery delivered a perfect 10/10 experience. Whether you’re a fan of Turkish food or trying it for the first time, this is the place to go. We can’t wait...
Read moreMy wife and I are huge foodies and when we found out there was a new Turkish restaurant that opened, we knew we had to visit. But with a few bad experiences, I think it’s safe to say that we might not come back. The first visit they had us wait almost 15 minutes just to tell us the restaurant was booked. The staff saw us and kept serving other people while a line was forming. We decided to go again a few weeks later and got seated. We ordered the lamb chop, shish kabob, cheese pide, and baba ganoush. The food tasted good especially the kabob but the lamb chop was burnt and felt extremely overvalued for the amount you get. It was so unpleasant that I was not able to finish it. We also got baklava and rice pudding dessert off of their sweets display. The restaurant itself is very clean and elegant with a nice chandelier being the centerpiece. But a lot of empty areas and a seating arrangement similar to a cheap buffet, it feels out of place. The best thing about the interior is definitely the sweets display. If I were to go back, it would only be for the sweets. That being said, we ended up paying upwards of $100 Without tip! If you’re craving for some Turkish cuisine and don’t mind how much you’ll be paying, then sure, go crazy. But we feel that the quality didn’t match up with the price you pay. The portions were anemic and the burnt, undersized lamb chop left a bad taste in my mouth. No...
Read moreStaff is polite and well mannered. Overall was good service. The price is similar to other chain restaurants. However, a big negative was food quality and food portion. The price is not worth the amount of food and the quality of meat was very fatty and low quality. Indoor atmosphere is great and vibrant but outdoor is very poor, location is in a very sub optimal place. The price you pay should equal the quality and service of something along the lines of restaurants like NY Beer project, NEAT, or Santoras, but instead pay for 50/50 fatty meat, couple grains of rice, and a single slice of bread with store bought vegetables. Had a lot of potential, very disappointing. Either increase portions/obtain higher quality meats, or lower the price for what I’m getting!

Edit:
I was going to leave this alone. However, your response is utter garbage. How dare you assume my cultural background and claim what food I have eaten.
Turkey is an amazing country, with amazing food. I have been to Taksim Square in Istanbul and in every way possible you get outclassed. Your response showcases cultural insensitivity and ignorance in your business by assuming things about their customers. Your restaurant is garbage. Authentic Turkish food, which yours isn’t, is amazing....
