Horrible experience, I was actually a photographer for a bride and groom that hired my company to capture the day. They choose this location for both ceremony and reception. From the very start everything seemed to be changed last minute for the groom and bride. Everything was rushed and very uncomfortable. For God Sakes they didn't even offer a rehearsal in facility instead at their own residency was the only option. During the ceremony we could hear through the wall loud music from another party. So, unthoughtful, and untasteful. The decor that my bride and groom discussed before hand had been switched up assuming to not having enough white covers for chairs and tables . The woman that was the officiant was the bartender, the coordinator and all of the above. I was told that all of the wedding party (14 total) only had 30 mins for pictures that later after ceremony was told we had no time for photos to go straight in for dinner. To a complete nightmare of the staff refusing to serve the guest dinner until the bride and groom paid for guest unaccounted for. Come to find out the count was completed wrong and over by under 10. It was extremely embarrassing for the bride and groom , I watched my bride cry and beg for the manager not to make a big thing of things. The managers was very rude and unfortunately, the bride had to tell her please don't speak to me the way you are. After trying to explain how she felt about time being wasted on purpose to get them out of the facility. An hour had been wasted because the manager claimed she needed all guest seated for a head count. She only than proceeded to look over the room and not count. The brides sister counted and she refused to take the count that had been over only 7 people that they finally were able to pay for so that bride and groom could try and recover from such disgusting undesirable customer service on their very special day. What a memory they have to live with because the manager and chef couldn't handle business in a more professional way. The chef came out talking to anyone that would listen including myself to complain about making more plates than needed and tossing them in the trash. (I actually have audio of him complaining to staff hired by bride and groom including self.) He went rambling on to say how ridiculous that the bride and groom had to place their invitation on Facebook because look at this. After me speaking up for the bride and groom he changed his tone to him having children that were married and that everyone should just enjoy themselves. He walked away to later return with a slick response that the manager had been pushed by the wedding party, yet another lie. The sister was trying to resolve the issue of the manager getting loud and saying her time was being wasted and threathen to end the wedding if payment for the few over listed. The sister extended her arm to say wait wait let's just figure this out. No one including the manager was touched physically or harmed. I was present for it all and sadly recording Incase of falsified accusations. I can't believe this is my review. As far as when things were resolved, dinner was brought out and completely frozen and awful, I wouldn't feed it to my dog. Salad was brought out without dressing , the cake was sloppy on plates as if purposely done. Bride and groom couldn't even cut the cake and had to alter their night by minusing special moments like dancing with parents. (Pictures and videos of it all as well sadly of cake and plates). Imagine not having the night you imagined and waited so long for to only be destroyed by the staff of grapevine at that the manager and chef . The waitress didn't even greet guest, smile or anything. I wouldn't recommend this place ever to any of my clients, or anyone getting married. Even if it was completely free. I write this in disbelief honestly at how today went for the bride and groom. So sad, my heart broke today as a human for this couple. I can say this confidently, this place staff made no one feel...
Read moreMy family has attended Thanksgiving Brunch, Mother's Day and Easter brunch at the Grapevine in the Ellicott Creek Banquet Facility. The food, the service and the selection has always been good. We attended Easter Sunday Brunch/Dinner there yesterday. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Very disappointing, and many other parties felt the same way. 1) There was no carving station; 2) The Ham, Roast Beef and the Lamb were processed and served in chaffing dishes; 3) the Roast Beef was chewy and the lamb was as well. 4) The Shrimp Scampi was so salty and had a strong "fish smell", 5) The selections were about the same as always (minus the carving stations), but the quality was missing. 6) The price was $29.95 plus tax and gratuity, OVER PRICED for the quality of food. 7) We had a party of about 13 and we had to beg for water and coffee re-fills. 8) We knew three other parties there and all agreed the quality was lacking. Then, another large group were sat next to us while some of the people remained standing by our table. We were told by the waitress that they were standing there next to our table waiting for us to leave. She said they usually allow the guests to occupy the tables for two hours. Unbelievable, especially since many of our guests drove from out of town. As hosts, we were terribly embarrassed by this as well as the poor quality of food and lack of service. We knew some guests who choose Classic V on Niagara Falls Boulevard who said it was excellent and they had a carving station with Roast Beef, Ham and Turkey. Their price $22.95. Wake up Grapevine - you are not the only gig in town. And, yes the soda's (coke/pepsi, ginger ale and diet tasted very...
Read moreUDATE: Spoke to the manager. He offered a lot of excuses for the failures that night. NO REFUND, but because he took my call, I upped the stars by 1.
We were at my granddaughter's cheer banquet. Our table didn't get severed. All the other tables had been served. We were the last table in the room without food. We asked about our food. About 20 minutes later they brought the adults meals out. Another 20 before they came back and said they ran out of the kids food (chicken tenders, green beans and a roll) . 10 minutes after that they brought the kids adult meals (Ziti and chicken parmesan). None of the kids wanted this but they tried it and pushed it away.
Then, dessert was served to most of our table. We waited 10 minutes for ours, before asking about it. The server just smirked at us and said yea, sure. Another 10 minutes went by. I went and got another server and explained the situation. I told her that neither my daughter or I cared about the ice cream but my granddaughter did. She was the only child to not get an ice cream. It took another 10 minutes before she finally got her ice cream. We left immediately after she finished her dessert.
This was the absolute worst service I have encoutered, and their attitude horrid did not help. We paid 30 dollars a plate to be forgotten and left hanging I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I am VERY upset about how they treated us and the rest of table.
The photo here shows the slopped adult meals that were served. It wasn't appealing to to the eye and tasted...
