First of all, the building itself lures you in; a tall red building smack in the middle of Transit Road halfway between Clarence and Lockport is definitely an eyebrow raiser to begin with. Every time you go by, you see people going into and leaving the building, and then you'll see people sitting out on a patio toward the back of the building. Eventually, after you memorize the name of the place, your interest piques, looking for somewhere new to eat. You look up a menu online and you see that they have quite the variety. I'm personally gluten free and vegetarian, though I do eat fish, so I thought that there were plenty of options for myself, and my weird, non-vegetable-loving-vegetarian fiance. (Okay, to be fair, he likes some vegetables, but he can't stand the traditional greens that go into Caesar salads and things of that nature.) Nonetheless, we went there one night looking to try somewhere new, and we had mixed feelings, but leaning more towards the positive side of those feelings. At first, I thought my serving size seemed small. I got the garden noodle bowl, with shrimp added, but I think inititually, the issue was that the huge plate/bowl was so large, that it made the amount of food on my plate seem smaller. It was by far one of the tastiest meals I've ever had. My only legitimate complaint was that it was a whopping $8 to add shrimp to my entrée, which would have been fine, if they didn't only include a measly 4 pieces of shrimp. They labeled them as jumbo shrimp on the menu, but to be honest, they were not that big. For that amount, I would hands down expect more of the add on I'm paying that much more for. My fiance got a veggie burger and said that was also very flavorful. We will probably be back at some point, and while the shrimp was also very good, and seasoned well, I'm not sure I would dish out that kind of money again if I were to order that entree again, unless, maybe, they provided more shrimp. It's definitely worth checking out though, if you've been thinking about it like we were.

The building always looked mysterious to me, because of the black and red theme colors they use. So I finally had to come and check Rock Kitchen out. Soon as you step in you see the bar, to the left there is the hostess stand. Once you speak to the hostess, you have a choice of sitting. In the patio section, or you can dine inside. The menu offers plenty of options such as, Burgers, salads and wings. Pretty decent tasting food and would come back again. Philly cheesesteak egg rolls- very cheesy and delicious Cajun dry rub wings- loved the crispy the wings were cook. Rub could be a little to much for some though. Garlic Parmesan wings- really good tasting and nice size wings Signature rock hot and sweet- again wings cooked perfect and the sauce was really good Cheddar burger- choice of cheese (but it’s a up charge) Burger nice size and cooks with a side of fries, plus a side of aioli dipping sauce. I used some of the sauce for my burger, it was really good.

Y'all this place is amazing! Our waitress Laurie was the best she made sure we had a great visit . I had the lobster roll and fries. Ok so I live in Mississippi now coming from east coast I don't get good seafood often but this was an amazing lobster roll one of the better I have had even from VA Beach delicious. My husband had the burnt ends tacos. He said they were some of the best different tacos he has had. Very different very good. You should try them. Cudos to the wait staff and chefs/cooks. I also need to shout out to the v Bartender she made one of the better whiskey sours according to the hubs one of the best most consistent ones. Thank you to the staff. We will be back probably this week and definitely when we come back in July..

This place is terrible! Horrible service, food and environment! So I decided to try this place out instead of going to Grover's right across the street. We pull in and my girlfriend noticed they have outdoor tables on a patio. Almost every table outside was empty. We walk in and the hostess told us we can't sit outside because they are full. She seats us at the first small table inside instead. Our waitress comes over and we order our drinks. I got a Sprite and my girlfriend gets a Coke. When she came back with them we still haven't decided what we wanted yet. I asked her to give us another minute. We both take sips from our drinks. Both of them tasted awful. They were also completely flat, not a single bubble of carbonation in either of them. There was a group of 3 guys that were seated near us and the waitress took their drink orders and took their food orders before ours. Eventually the waitress comes back to our table after 15 minutes for our food order. I ordered a Mac and cheese burger, 3/4lb, medium. My girlfriend ordered a classic burger, just lettuce and tomato, 1/2lb, medium. During the time that we waited I finished up my Sprite. I was thirsty and didn't care if it was horrible or not. It was about 20 minutes or so for the waitress to even acknowledge that I drank it. While we were waiting the hostess was busy taking selfies and doing ballerina type stretches(pulling her leg up for her foot is above her head). One of the other waitresses told the hostess that is she doesn't seat more people at her tables then she's going home. Most of the staff sat around chit chatting in what looked to be like an office type of an area that leads to the kitchen. Our food took about an hour to come out. That's when the waitress decided to go get me another drink. I looked at my burger and all it was was a burger with lettuce, tomato, bacon and cheese. When the waitress came back I told her it wasn't what I ordered. She said oh yeah that's not the mac and cheese burger. She took it back to get it fixed. I look over at my girlfriend's burger. I tried eating some of her fries while I wait. They were cold and horrible tasting. She cuts into her burger and it's completely red. Definitely not a medium cooked burger. It looked rare or maybe medium rare at best. It also only had lettuce on it. I looked over to the table of 3 guys as they just now get served thier burgers. One of them scrapes off the lettuce on thier burger and shakes his head. Another pulls off a tomato from their burger. When the waitress finally brings my burger back out my girlfriend asks if she could get her the tomato that wasn't on her burger. My burger also wasn't the right size that I ordered. The waitress came back with a container or tarter sauce. We both looked at her with disappointed faces. She then asked what it was she wanted. She then goes and fetches a tomato. She brought it out on a small plate. It had to be the worst looking tomato. It looked old or maybe previously frozen. Everything here was just awful. I regret trying this place out. I'll just go to Grover's from now on. There may be a long wait time there but they get you your food faster, have better service and better tasting food. Looking at the other reviews it's obvious that this happens frequently and the problems have not been addressed. Maybe the owner just doesn't want the business. Make the right choice and just eat across the street at Grover's...

This was one of only two restaurants I've ever walked out of. I debated writing this review while I approached an hour wait for our table after being quoted 20-25min, but decided I would wait until after we ate so at least the food would have a shot at a decent review. However, we never got that far. At an hour the hostess tried to seat us (5 adults and a highchair) at a 4 top with one of the ends against the wall. We declined as there was no way that was going to work. We waited another 15min and we're finally seated. Based on my experience thus far I started to time how long it was until we were served. We waited 5 min and no server came to greet us, at that point I went to the hostess station to ask for a manager. After a short wait the manager came to speak with me and I let her know that a server has still not been over to greet us. Since it was now 9 min in I expected to go back to the table and my friends to tell me the server came while I was gone taking to the manager, but that wasnwa the case. We waited another 2 min and then decided it was time to go. As we were getting up there server was just approaching the table, but it was too late at that point. I gave two stars because although the service was terrible, the staff was never rude. Unfortunately, I'm not able to...
