I have been supporting this business since it first opened and always loved the quality of the bagels and service. Today, I ordered a turkey and muenster on a honey sesame bagel at the Valley Cottage shop. It was not busy...no line The blond haired woman who prepared my order brought it on a plate, and I wanted take out. I come here a few times a month and was never asked if I wanted to eat in... it was always for take out. That was the first issue... no big deal. The sandwich was wrapped and when it came time to pay I noticed that the sandwich was muenster cheese only and no turkey. The woman went back to correct the mistake but scowled at me when I told her for the second time I did not want it toasted. Anyone can have a bad day but to be scowled at with no apology at check out is not a good customer experience. I will continue to support this business but will avoid this provider. Let's talk about their croissant first. Imagine a buttery, flaky croissant, stuffed with perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and melted cheese... it can be a reality if you order it! :)
I've also had their bagels... I love getting an everything topped with tuna, bacon, and cheese. The bagels are always fresh, boasting a perfect chewy texture, and the toppings are not just an afterthought; they're a testament to the shop's commitment to quality and flavor. The portion size is so generous, it's almost a challenge to finish it in one sitting – but oh so worth it.
Beyond the food, what truly sets this place apart is the staff. Their friendliness and warmth make you feel like a regular from your very first visit. It's this combination of delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere that makes David's in Valley...

The only picky issue would be if someone just runs in to grab a drink and go, as there is no standing-cashier. You place your order with one of the people, then wait for them to make it as requested, then they meet you at the counter to pay. But with no standing cashier standing there always readyvto ring you up.. when i was a new customer i felt 'unseen' and a bit confused. But Once i got that down - and figured out i wasnt being ignored or something Alls good.
Been going several times a week since the summer. I totally Enjoy the bobo and freshly made there bakery goods - and that Perfectly Crisp Bacon! Well worth the extra $1 or $1.50 - Still less than Brand name coffee/food type places and made right before your eyes....
