Brookside Tavern — Restaurant in Town of Clarkstown

So I'm not really sure what's going on with this place but we were extremely disappointed in a recent visit. We were one of two tables in the place. The service was terrible, she never came back. Beers were left empty halfway through our wings and we didn't even get a chance to ask for another one. We used to have amazing service but this was not the normal waitress we've always had. I'm wondering if she's even here anymore and if the same chef is still here, because everything was total opposite of what we're used to having. Fries were not seasoned at all. Wings were small. Zero personality waitress and was busy on her phone behind the booth to even look up to see we needed her for another drink. We drive 45 mins in from Jersey to come here at least once or...

Arrived at 9pm and despite kitchen being closed, i was offered any fried food on the menu. The bartender was friendly and smiled often. She also engaged us in small talk and was super attentive. She kept apologizing for not being able to offer us a bigger food selection even though it wasn't her fault that we got there late. She made me laugh a few times and asked us if we would go back. That a yes! We ate a version of mozzarella poppers and milk skinned wings with fries and for barfood, it was quite tasty. My gin and tonic was nice and strong but not over the top...everything was just right for a Wednesday evening. Went here today with a friend to watch the Game. This was place had a good friendly crowd and the bartender was nice. We ordered two orders of wings with celery & Blue cheese (we ordered two different flavor wings) and some beers. The food took forever to come out. When it finally came to the table, the wings were under cooked (raw inside) and both orders tasted the same. The server told us that they are sorry but they ran out of celery. We asked if we could have carrot sticks in it’s place and she said sure. Moments later we received 4 small carrot sticks and the server said she is sorry but theses are the last of the carrots.
