Indian Curry Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Clarkstown

-2 stars for food. Ordered first time today. Lamb vindaloo. Before I ordered, I asked the guy if the lamb was fresh today. He said yes.

The food was not good. The lamb was very dry and hard. The naan was also very hard. It seems as if it was microwaved which dries out quickly. Serving size was huge, for an Indian restaurant. But I would rather have quality over quantity.

-1 star for decor. This is a take out place so there's no seating. However, it is in total shambles when you walk in and it makes you worry a bit about food cleanliness and hygiene. It looks like the business is in the middle of moving out or spring cleaning. Everything is all over the place and there is smudges of dirt everywhere. It's just not clean.

With all that said, I will try one more dish in the future before I settle on a final rating. While I have little hope that the decor will improve, Hopefully I'll at least have a better fresher...

Disappointing Experience

We've been loyal customers of Curry Kitchen since 2021, consistently impressed by their exceptional food and service. However, our recent visit was a stark contrast.

Upon pickup, we were dismayed by the restaurant's cleanliness and the front desk staff's demeanor. The individual assisting us was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. His communication skills were lacking, and he treated us with disdain, as if we were unfamiliar with the establishment.

The food, while passable, failed to meet the high standards we'd come to expect from Curry Kitchen.

Request to Management:

We respectfully urge you to address these issues, ensuring a better experience for customers. Effective staff training and maintaining a clean environment are crucial for your business's success.

Indian Curry Kitchen.  36  NY303, Valley Cottage, NY-10989. During a family get together recently we ordered Lamb Biryani which we enjoyed immensely.  The preparation was extremely delicious. It was very different from the usual Biryani served in restaurants.  The rice grains were specially intended for Biryani, long grain, cooked for the right period and not clumpy. The lamb was well marinated with aromatic spices to be tender and succulent. While ordering Curry Kitchen took care to ask me if I had any special request, spice tolerance, also if anyone is prone to allergies.  Apart from the excellent quality of the food, it was a very pleasant experience since Mr. Anoop of Curry Kitchen is very professional. I wish them all the best and look forward to visiting...
