Best Mexican restaurant in Rockland!
20 years’ living in NYC spoiled me when it comes to authentic Mexican food. I’ve spent the last year trying to find it in Rockland and finally, La Alianza is it! I stopped there on my way home for the happy hour margaritas and ended up trying the guacamole and enchiladas suizas too. Every single thing was freshly made and delicious. I could taste the fresh cilantro I love so much and the fresh jalapeño in my margarita. My server made me feel like a regular—he was cheerful, kind, and very attentive—a true people person. When I told him I like some heat with my food he brought me the house-made chile de árbol salsa. The flavor was excellent and just the right spiciness I wanted. I also got to try their house-made coquito and will be back for more. I recommend La Alianza to anyone looking for great food, service, and ambiance…definitely bring friends and don’t miss the happy hour! We ordered the Beef Fry Parotta and Kappa Biryani — both dishes were absolutely delicious, fresh, and served in generous portions. Service was excellent — fast, friendly, and very helpful. The restaurant was clean with a comfortable ambience, perfect for a relaxed family dinner. Pricing felt very reasonable and matched the quality and portion sizes. The Beef Dry Fry especially stood out — one of the best we’ve had.
The only small suggestion would be to provide more than one menu per table to make ordering a bit easier for groups.
Overall, highly recommend for anyone craving authentic...
Read moreLa Alianza is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in Rockland. I’ve visited a few times, with friends and by myself, and the food and service were consistently amazing. I also love their happy hour, and I’ve heard they have karaoke now as well! The food is fresh, well-seasoned, and authentic. I highly recommend the salsa de arbol if you like things spicy. Don’t be fooled by the location — the restaurant is roomy and has a great atmosphere. Go before it...
