BEST PIZZA IN ROCKLAND COUNTY! Mille Luce Pizzeria in New City WOW, how I did not know about this place is insane. I was hosting a poker game, decided to add some pizza to the other food I had already bought, wanted to try some place new, went online to get ideas, and found this new place in New City, where the old Agnelo’s used to be. To be honest, I was dumbfounded I’d never heard of it . I simply ordered online, and went to pick it up. First of all, the owner, Joe (and his son Joseph) is straight out of central casting for the most passionate, biggest personality, Brooklyn pizza/foodie, loving pizza maker/aficionado I think I’ve ever met, and that is saying something! Joe made me feel at home the second I walked in, and could not have been more excited for me to try his pizza, and then seeing how much I love pizza and how knowledgeable I was, he excitedly gave me a full tour, proudly showing off how every ingredient is imported from Naples Italy. Literally the best ingredients! The oven was imported!! I was taking my pizza to go, so they made me an extra one just so I could try it straight out of the oven before I left, and it was FANTASTIC!! THE CRUST!!!! Airy, crisp, fresh, delicious! Great variety of pizza’s ( I tried four different ones for the poker game, and each was better than the next), and they sell their pizza by the foot. And you can change the style of pizza each foot. It’s different then what you’re used to, but in a great way,, and it’s flat out phenomenal. I know I’m sounding like a commercial, but I promise you I have no affiliation at all with Mille Luci. I’m taking the time to write this because anybody who knows me knows that I travel a lot, and the one thing I search for in my travels is great pizza. If I have a free day, I’ll drive from Nyack up to New Haven just to go to one of the great pizza restaurants up there. And yes, there are other really good pizza places in our area, but I’m just so happy I found this incredible new pizza restaurant basically in our backyard in Rockland, and wanted to share the news! It hasn’t been open that long, once the word gets out, my guess is that you’ll be having to wait on long lines to get in. Cash only, but they have an ATM machine with no fees in the restaurant if you forget. Fellow pizza lovers, GO NOW, and thank...

Read moreMy first time at this fairly new pizzeria that attracted me because of the ‘wine bar’ in the name. Decided to go with my family to try it out since we’ve eaten at all the local pizzerias and wanted to see how it stacks up. Roman style brick oven pizza (of which I love) is what you will be served by the foot which is something new to me and not by the slice as we’re accustomed. Each foot of pizza is sliced into eight rectangle pieces short of a standard NY Sicilian slice. Let’s start with the dough, which is sourdough, the thickness is just right, not too thin or thick, it’s airy and the flavor is amazing. You can taste the right amount of sourdough that goes well with the rest of the pizza. We ordered one foot of Margherita along with one foot of Snow White. The Margherita has simple common ingredients but elevated with flavor. The sauce and cheese paired well with the sourdough. The Snow White pizza, has no tomate sauce with mozzarella and smooth ricotta piped on the pizza like a perfect pastry. The honey they add to it gives it the right sweetness (if sweetness on a pizza is your thing) to the whole pizza. Overall the pizza was amazing and we didn’t have anything else to talk about at this review. The Italian wine list is well paired with the pizza and if you haven’t had beer with wine, you must try it and compare it to beer if that was your thing. Wine will be a better pairing. The setting and ambience were just right while top 40 music was playing in the background. I will be returning to Mille Lucí to try...
