Mizu Hibachi & Sushi has been one of our go-to spots in New City since they opened. We come here at least twice a month, and at this point, the owner and staff feel like family. The service is always outstanding—friendly, fast, and attentive.
The food comes out quickly and is always served at the right temperature—hot for hibachi, cold and fresh for sushi. While the hibachi show was a big hit when our son was younger (and the chefs always put on a great performance), we now prefer to sit at a table and enjoy a more relaxed meal.
The food, service, and prices check all the boxes. We’ve never had a bad experience. In fact, we’ve hosted several large gatherings here, including birthday parties and even a karaoke night with over 50 people—and they always accommodate us with ease.
One of our favorite things? As soon as we walk in, they bring our drinks without even asking. They usually know our orders too—except for me, since I like to switch it up!
We truly can’t say enough good things about Mizu. It’s a gem in New City, and we’re so grateful to...
Read moreMizu Hibachi and Sushi is hands down my absolute favorite hibachi restaurant in Rockland County! I've been a loyal customer for years, and it's easily the best in the area. Since the new management took over, the place has undergone tremendous improvements. Johan, our hibachi chef, was amazing! He cooked everything to perfection and accommodated all our special requests. The food here is absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor in every bite. They offer a wide variety of sushi platters and rolls, and I highly recommend trying them out. Not only do they have great lunch and dinner specials, but the portion sizes are well worth the price! The service provided by the staff is always fantastic. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The restaurant itself is always clean, and the atmosphere is truly one of a kind. I can confidently say that I'll continue coming back to Mizu Hibachi and Sushi for years to come. It's a gem that should...
Read moreI honestly chose this place for the space bc the other options felt like a squeeze for kids. I should’ve believed the other poor reviews, they were short staffed, service was slow— I can handle that, while the few sushi items we had were fine the hibachi was a mess. By the time the noodles and rice came out I was full from the protein but I found them inedible anyway, whatever sauces were used tasted foul, old or something and same with the miso soup and salad dressing, both looked unappealing. The show was mediocre at best, but the kids enjoyed it so that’s what counts. But the place does not feel clean, sticky, bathrooms were messy. It took forever to clear the tables (with dirty rags). The initial host was very nice and had a good personality, I just wish the whole experience...
