A relative recommended Mangia Pizza after I said I was sick of greasy chewy sloppy crusts, with oil and salt on top from other pizza places. So, my family decided that tonight we'd order a large pizza to go from Mangia Pizza. My husband ordered it over the phone and it was ready quickly when he got there. What a difference. The crust is perfectly evenly cooked. I was very impressed with the crust. It's crispy and not chewy. No burn spots and such. The pizza was not a sloppy greasy mess or salty at all. The sauce is mild on the pizza and not overpowering in flavor. The cheese isn't a sloppy oily mess as we are used to from other places. This is our new to go pizza. I highly recommend Mangia Pizza and I can't wait to try their other food offerings. Edit: I have to take stars off here. We tried other food. We had meatball and chicken heroes another night. The meatballs were awful. They tasted like rubber with no meat flavor. They reminded me of frozen meatballs you get in the supermarket. The chicken was better. However, they also looked like they get them frozen from some conglomerate, ie. Sysco Foods. Same with the zucchini sticks. Having grown up in an Italian American family, I'm going to notice these things. Their sauce is so bland, some people might find it acidic and watery. 5 stars for the pizza and 0 stars for the sauce, meatballs, chicken and zucchini sticks. Conglomerate food...
Read moreI went in and placed my order for my family at 6pm, I was the only one sitting in the front area, nice lady took my order. After 10 minutes it got a little busier, I noticed a family at the table in front of me, they ordered pre cooked slices, the wife must of sent her slice back at least 3 times because it was cold, other patrons were placing orders, it’s about 20 minutes passed, she says your order will be ready soon, few minutes go by and says let me check, there was such chaos with people trying to pay and leave, the people at the ovens shrugging their shoulders about the orders, people waiting, 30 minutes go by, everyone that came in after me was done, I finally stood up and asked where is my order, crickets. They start opening boxes and found it sitting on top of the oven and it had been sitting there, the other half of my order a calzone was put in as a wrap, when I ordered I corrected her that I want a calzone, I asked where the calzone was, she said you said wrap, no, they couldn’t even find it, I was at this point very angry and had my family waiting on me, I made them refund the Calzone and told them the service and chaos, people standing around waiting and trying to get the order correct. I will not be going back, disgraceful service. As far as the pizza, I threw on the kitchen table and walked away, my anger at being first in and last out, took card of...
Read moreFood here is absolutely atrocious. What is the point of this place. There are like 10 different lame pizza takeout places in new city. Mangia opened up and you assume it’s going to be different maybe better quality or something unique to them. But somehow it’s the same as the others maybe worse. Like who is the Einstein who thought opening this place was a smart business move. Me and my family ordered a large pizza that reminded me of the pizza I ate at my Jewish elementary school growing up. The worst. Next the “famous” wings should be called the infamous wings. Overcooked, dry, seemed frozen. Lastly the calzone was breaking apart on the first bite. Completely fell apart. Won’t...
