Bought a couple of salads.......one for me and a buffalo chicken salad for my wife. Shortly after eating the salad, my wife became violently ill.......the chicken had a funny taste and it evidently was bad. I returned the next day and politely explained what happened so that they could check the chicken to prevent someone else from possibly becoming sick, and to prevent them from a potential lawsuit from someone. When I explained it to them, they told me it was prepared fresh everyday and they seemed irritated and they became defensive. They did not offer me an apology, nor did they offer to give me my money back. They treated me as though it was my wild imagination, or as though I were lying. Was not looking for money.......but was at least expecting a "Thank You," and a little appreciation for me letting them know of a potential problem. If I owned a business, I would sure want to know if my product had made one of my customers sick and be notified of a potential problem that could harm someone else and could bring a lawsuit on me. I'm sure that their food is great the majority of the time.......and their service also. And I understand that "stuff happens" from time to time. I would bet that it is extremely rare that they would have a problem with their food. BUT........in this case, their food, FOR SURE, made my wife ill..........that was unfortunate. BUT..........THEIR REACTION to me is what really bothered me. It was not professional, courteous or helpful. I may not make it back to Cobleskill for a while, but when I do, I know where I will not be...
Read moreI have been going to pizza shack for years because I'm a local and I like to support local business whenever I can.
I went to pizza shack a few months ago, and the owner yelled at me and refused to sell me pizza because somehow my order got confused and I wanted 4 fresh slices of pepperoni pizza and the pizza in the display area was not looking anymore. I asked for fresh 4 pepperoni pizza slices and the person taking my order accidentally put the order in wrong and put in a whole pie instead. When the pizza was done, I asked if I could have the slices now and they kept trying to give me the old slices. I'm not too picky, but there were flies sitting on a few of the slices and they looked at least 2 hours old. You know how gas station pizza looks after several hours, that's what it looked like. After getting yelled at that the other pizza was just fine and that I would not be getting the new pizza, I just bought the entire pizza to end the ordeal. The owner threw the pizza at the counter, I paid and left.
6 months later. I decided to give this place a second chance. I admit calling a bit late, it was 8:00 pm. Before I even said anything on the phone, I hear someone say "no more pizza" and then the phone goes dead. Great, I got hanged up on! Just by hearing the voice, I knew it was the owner again.
Food is mediocre at best and service is terrible. Since I can't give negative...
Read moreFrom the outside it looks like a big restaurant with a cool local vibe, but upon entering, you realize it is a different story. The interior is extremely outdated (at least 35 years old), cluttered, unsanitary, and just outright uncomfortable. They have a plastic pine wreath which wraps around the tops of each wall, random house plants in the front windows, red walls covered in pictures of random people and places, and half the building blocked off. My friend ordered a salad, and it was not mixed at all, it was just a couple leaves of romaine, enough to cover the plate, topped off with 4 olives, a single cherry tomato, and 2 raw onion rings. Her salad dressing came out in a small container to pour it on and the dressing was completely separated, as if it had been sitting like that for a day. Overall I am glad I did not order much because I feel as though I would have probably thrown it out.
Just walked into a Pizza Shack employee at Coby's Cafe, and he decided to make a sny remark about my food allergies, after listening in on my conversation with an employee at Coby's. I was having a bad day to begin with, but now it is even worse and I have a test in a...
