A Haunting experience. One day around Halloween, a day prior to going up to Fright Fest at Six Flags Great Escape, I had a yen to try some Dairy Queen burgers and a Blizzard for the first time, to my recollection. We got to Dairy Queen without incident, but immediately had issues when trying to enter. We had a difficult time opening the main door. There was like pressure somehow that made it difficult to pry open. When we finally got the door open, we heard something weird like we let out the souls of the damned. We waited in line and ordered with relative ease. There were a few awkward moments that are probably not worth writing about. We opted to dine-in vs. take-out and was only the 2nd table occupied. The restaurant worked had a difficult time finding us despite us sitting in front of the registers. She went to the first table, and they said it wasn’t them, and then she started calling our table’s number, but we didn’t hear her. We found it funny she couldn’t find the only other table that was occupied, but then again we didn’t hear her either. We got the food, and it tasted good, although the burgers tasted just like Burger King. I wasn’t sure if others knew about this so I looked it up and all I will say is IYKYK about the Burger King and the Dairy Queen! The food was tasty and priced good. I was later brought my Blizzard served upside down, but I wasn’t sure why - I had to ask my friend. Before we left, we heard one of the workers talk about her medical diagnoses including lice which made me feel ill, but we already ate, so there wasn’t much more we could do about that at the time. Later at Six Flags, I experienced some intestinal distress but I’m not sure if it was from the Dairy Queen or the Cracker Barrel, which could be a review for...
Read morewent through the drive thru tonight. Waited in line a ridiculous amount of time. Finally get up to the windo about 15 minutes later. The guy (assuming he was new) looks completely lost. He says "vanilla/twist"? I said "no. I ordered a strawberry sundae on twist". He looked at me like he had never heard of a strawberry Sunday before. Then he tells my thats not what he rung me up for and paused like I was supposed to tell him to give me what "he rang me up for". I told him to void it and charge me whatever he wanted but I want what I asked for! if he didn't ring it up right that's on him. He clearly couldn't figure out how to void the transaction so he yelled to the back and told them to "like put strawberry's on it or something" again has noone ever ordered a strawberry sundae before?? it's really not that hard. Then he tells me they don't have any chocolate ice cream and asked if vanilla would be OK. HOW DOES AN ICE CREAM PLACE THAT ONLY CARRIES TWO FLAVORS NOT HAVE ONE OF THEM??? Then he goes to hand me the sundae with no lid on it.. Strawberry's falling all over the place. I asked him to put a lid on it. He literally couldn't even do that. Why does it even have to be asked. I'm at the drive through they order is TO GO! Do better dairy queen. Either get more staff or train the employees you have to do their job correctly. I'm not sure why a manager wasn't available to help the guy who clearly had no idea what he was doing. Won't be going back there any time soon. oh and by the way. The kid said he rang me in for just a plain twist dish of ice cream but the total always $6.90. If that's what they charge for a plain cup of ice cream it's appalling. Won't be going there...
Read moreSo we went to DQ 1652 Central Ave, Colonie, NY 12205 on 10/29/21 at 6:30 pm . The girl taking the order in the front had no idea what she was doing, it was obvious she was new and she told us that but there was no supervision going on. She couldn't remember where a button was and called a Manger over after waiting 5mins she finally came . Found the button and left. Then the new girl tells us to sit she will bring our food out. She brings just the chicken tenders without the fries and im like I asked for fries and shes says I thought it came with that. Her Manger comes back and says u didn't ask for fries. And I tell her I told the other girl who took my order and she gets a mean tone and says well I'm not her and u didn't tell me ....remember she didn't take my order she just found the button for the new girl and walked away. So finally eating and they forgot our ice cream had to go up and remind them twice for the ice cream at which point they said thier making it now. So we sit down and 5 mins later we dnt have the ice cream and the new girl is by us wiping tables and we're like oh that icecream????? She tells us she's so sorry the DASH orders are so many its hard to get everything done butttttt why then r u wiping tables also why the hell is DASH more important then an inside order we should be taking priority. There is no excuse. Also I would like to mention the chicken strip were hard as rocks and fries had no flavor but surprisingly your attitudes and customer service skills were way worse and to boot ill excuse the new girl because 1. She's new and 2. Your learning from a terrible Manger. You would be smart to fire her or...
