Apple Dumplin — Restaurant in Town of Concord

Visiting the area around Ellicottville NY and Springville NY our family mentioned this place from an ad they saw in Niagara Falls NY. They asked us to try it and let them know what we thought. So, we found it to be very busy with customers. That's a good thing. The staff were very busy of course. It's not a big place so, seating for our group of 13 was a challenge (6 children/5 adults/1 teenager) we chose to use two tables next to each other. The server was friendly, and helpful. *Due to the need for workers you need patience. The order was taken as quickly as possible. The food was slow to be prepared and delivered because of the need for workers. (I have total respect for those individuals doing their best under high demand) our food was great. The coffee is delicious and refilled often. I had the western omelette, home fries, a pancake with true maple syrup. Everyone in our group were happy with the food. The prices are reasonable. Fed 13 people for under $120. That's a good deal. Bottom line, I recommend APPLE DUMPLIN restaurant. We will visit...

Ordered a well done burger off the kids meal for a two year old. It wasn’t until my child was 3/4 way done we had noticed the burger was PINK. It was barely cooked, which can easily make a two year old very ill. After expressing my concerns, the waitress told me they “don’t check every burger”. Any parent should be able to order a well done burger and not have to inspect it to ensure it’s cooked and safe for consumption. They crossed out the burger on my bill (saving $6 for what I can only imagine a very expensive hospital bill). After using the atm and paying the $3 fee to get cash, they decided in good conscience to comp my bill ($44, which will cover the gas to children’s hospital). They were incredibly rude during a very scary situation, had no customer service whatsoever, and acted as though somehow this was my fault and they weren’t to blame.

As someone who spoke very highly of this place as we’ve previously gone here multiple times, I would NEVER recommend unless you want a sick child and for the staff to blame you for their poor...

We stopped here on our way home (Buffalo) from Ellicottville and we’re sure glad we did! We walked into a packed house but the waiting staff did a great job of managing the rush, getting us seated and taking our order quickly. And then there was the food….simply amazing. No offense to the fare, but breakfast isn’t the hardest thing to make but when you come across a good diner, you just KNOW. I got the Granny Smith with a side of French toast and it was spot on. Eggs, sausage, crispy home fries and cinnamon raisin toast. I’m getting hungry again just writing this post. Also, the coffee was excellent and just what we needed to start our day. If you’re headed north from Ellicottville or just in the area, this is a must stop for breakfast. Side note: Our waitress Emily was excellent!
