I live 25 minutes away from this restaurant, I wanted make the stop sort of quick. There wasn't many people in the drive thru, and but 2 people inside ordering. There wasn't many orders on the screen for the cook or the expediter. But, the managers and employees need better training on how to handle what they might think is a rush of people. I could tell the expediter was getting overwhelmed. The manager didn't come to see why the orders were taking so long. I have worked fast food for many years, and if I was feeling overwhelmed, I would call a manager or try to let the customers know their food will be up in a minute, even if it wasn't. Not keep them waiting for 15 minutes, and the cook isn't putting out the whole food orders, making half orders at a time, and messing up the food, which in turn messes up the expediter. When I finally gotten my food, the half that sat there for 15 minutes was cold, not an issue, I have a microwave. But after I gotten the rest, I had to hurry, so I just made sure what I ordered was in the bag. Even tho the items I ordered were new, to ask not to put something on it when there is 4 ingredients, shouldn't be difficult. I have to say, I had ordered SAME items at a different BK, and it was a SLOPPY MESS, all the items here were very neat! That is an important part of my order as well! BUT, all in all, I called when I got all the way home, I wasn't able to turn back and have it corrected, the manager did offer to replace my order when I'm...
Read moreJust came back here to hang out with a friend a few hours ago, and I also wanted to see the new model! Overall… it looks FANTASTIC🤩 However, there are some things I don’t think I understood about the model. First… you go in, and the menu is above the kiosk counter and not the actual counter? Customers have to turn to look. I don’t think I also understood the HUGE empty space near where you order, maybe it’s good if bk is busy though! Our food was really good!! There must’ve been a glitch when the kiosk sent the order to the chefs, because we didn’t get our drinks until maybe 15-20mins in… thankfully the employees came up to us and were like “did you guys ever receive your drinks?” And we said we didn’t. He proceeded to ask us what we ordered, and he goes back and hands my friend and his brothers their cups and gives me my strawberry shake as well❤️ However, my cheesy tots tasted a little different. I don’t know if maybe that’s because I started getting Walmarts cheesy kegs or I just haven’t had chessy tots in a while. Unfortunately I would’ve given this 5 stars if the drinks didn’t take forever. I get it, they’re busy doing their stuff, and because it’s a new model maybe there was a screw-up in the kiosk system.
P.S. I LOVE THE PUSH AND PULL SIGNS ON...
Read moreI'm not generally a fan of Burger King. In my experience their food quality/freshness tends to be very hit and miss, and locations tend to be less well run than their competitors. One day you get a decent burger, the nest you get a heat lamp surprise and they messed up the order. For this reason, if given the choice I'll usually try for one of the other "big three."
So it's not to be taken lightly when I say that Cortland's Burger King is a notable exception to the rule. The staff is friendly, the food generally comes out hot and fresh, and service times are generally reasonable. I feel like, after going here, it's the first time I've actually gotten to judge this chain's food on its own merits without the restaurant itself tripping over its own shoe laces and getting in the way of the experience.
I'll admit that it's still not my very favorite fast food choice, but I also can't deny that this is the best Burger King gets, it's not bad, I'd get it again, and if you like BK you should be stopping at...
