The Kopper Keg — Restaurant in Town of Cuba

Have Loved this place since I was a small child but probably went there for my very last time this morning. My girlfriend is from a couple hours south of here never been to the keg when I pulled up she saw it and actually got excited so I was very happy with my choice at this point. Alice was great host making sure everything was smooth. Ok I still can't figure this out 10 hours later we did order some potato skins as an app for $6 we we then each ordered just a breakfast platter and milk I still cannot figure out how my Bill was $52 for 2 breakfasts and an app I mean WHAT idk but unfortunately we both got I'll from the meal later in the day this I believe was brought on by the fake butter that's added to thier hot sauce as that stuff is known to cause problems I mean it was originally manufactured for chicken feed but the chickens were dying so our great zuS FDA decided we will make it ok for humans consumption so the sickness I am not blaming the restaurant for being at fault but buy a better product to cut hot sauce. But really that's not my issue my issue is a place I used to pay 15 to 20 for 3 to have breakfast just cost my $52 and most ended up in the trash I ate 1 egg and some potatoes and paid $52 I'm sorry I know things have changed prices have gone up but apparently so has any kind of hometown community pricing this was straight up a rip off I'm sorry to be so blunt I loved this establishment but today I truly feel scammed. Ty for taking time to read my rant I hope they can find a way to prosper many more years unfortunately won't be with Mr as a customer any...

We were super excited to try this place out after hearing great reviews! Unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. Guest service was not a priority. The first lady who seated us was much more pleasant than the rest. It wasn't too busy when we arrived (lunch, @11:15am), but gradually got busier as we sat & waited for our food. Maybe they were short staffed -- we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the lack of friendliness & urgency contributed to the overall experience. We only got one refill throughout the almost 2 hour visit - all drinks were empty for about a half hour before getting our one refill - drinks were all empty again well before the end of our meal. The wait was long, but we kept our patience knowing they may just be having a difficult time at the moment - no worries. Then we recieved our meals. Two of the same sandwiches (beef on weck) yet one bread was BURNT while the other was barely toasted. The beef was dry, but not a bad flavor. Beef nachos seemed to be a literal burger chopped up & spread over the nachos... which would've been fine if half of the burger wasn't intact in one giant clump. Corned beef hash, completely burnt on the bottom. Obviously microwaved bacon. We ate, then sat around for another half hour with empty drinks waiting for our check. This is probably one of my absolute favorite restaurants now. The food was amazing, and we didn't have to wait long to be served. The atmosphere was peaceful and friendly, calm and serene. The country ambiance put us to ease as soon as we entered. It was a very classical country style and decor. Our waitress was sweet and charming, and professionally promt with everything. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the portions of food we received. The music was at the perfect level where we could talk and hear each other but not too low that we couldn't hear the music and it was calm and enjoyable helping to set the perfect atmosphere. I ordered the fruit for a side and the macaroni and cheese as well. The waitress took the time to beautifully plate the fruit dish, and the macaroni and cheese is homemade, which was very nice compared to the box stuff most restaurants make and serve. My mother ordered sweet potato fries, and Brussel sprouts for her side. Most restaurants give a very small portion of these fries. However, my mom received a huge portion of fries, and the Brussel sprouts were deliciously cooked to perfection. I 1000% recommend this place to everyone.
