Went for dinner here tonight. I’m going to be brutally honest this had to be the worst food I’ve had in a very long time. The salad tasted like pure vinegar when I asked the waitress if she had any other salad dressing since she never asked me what I wanted she said they only had the Italian, that was on the salad and ranch so I did not eat it at all because it was un edible at that point and I do not like ranch dressing. How a restaurant can only has two choices is mind-boggling to me. Then the food came out. I ordered the baked ziti with eggplant, the waitress neglected to tell me when I asked if it was real eggplant versus fried was the fact that they’re only gonna throw in the skin of the eggplant and slivers of one percent of a slice of eggplant my husband got the gnocchi which had to be the most disgusting thing we have ever eaten And the bruschetta was completely flavorless where I had to tweak it with salt and pepper just so we can eat it. We asked if we can have our own bill because we were with big party, The waitress could not comprehend how to do that. Blamed it on the fact that she was by herself I do not recommend this place at all nor will I ever step...
Read moreSo I stopped in last night for take out. I ordered a simple but favorite dish- spaghetti with garlic and oil. The ordered was prepared very quickly, about 5 minutes. My first reaction was "Wow, this is light." I literally said that out loud. When I arrived home I understood why. The order, which was put into a standard round take-out tin, was approximately one-third full. Now, I've ordered this plate from a plethora of other Italian restaurants and never was the tin not full. I mean, really, this is probably the most inexpensive dish on any Italian menu. There's three ingredients: spaghetti, garlic, oil. Throw in some salt if you're feeling generous. The tin was one-third full (which is two-thirds empty!!). The price for this thievery? $12.50. I will never go back to Mama Mia's. I will certainly regale all of my friends with this "if it wasn't true, it wouldn't be funny" story. There are PLENTY of better restaurants in the area for Italian fair. Try them. This one won't be open...
Read moreWithout question, the worst Italian food I ever had in my life. I got stuffed mushrooms that tasted like they were nothing more than mushrooms topped with plain breadcrumbs soaked in cheap vegetable oil and cooked until burnt. The lasagna was one layer thick (ha ha menu says comes with layers of meat a ricotta cheese-that could have fooled me) and eggplant that was eggplant mush buried in bland tomato sauce . The fried calamari was undercooked. The hot antipasto for two was mostly tomato sauce in a pan with a couple of muscles and a couple of stuffed shelled macaroni and allegedly with shrimp and clams, but if there were they was...
