Do not come here. That is for the people that just want an answer. For the people that like to question things, take a seat, itâs gonna be a long ride. So, me and my family sat down, a nice view of the sunset and ocean. I hesitated before I sat down though as there was gunk and stains where I would have been sitting. Unpleasant yet I brushed it off and sat down. We are greeted by a cold breeze from the water, but that is to be expected. Though none of us had prepared for this, so we asked a waiter if they had blankets or something of that sort. They brought out four blankets, exactly what we asked for. However after dinner my two sisters would find that the blankets had given them a rash. But for now everything seemed fine. We ordered via a menu with checkboxes on it and a pen. Unconventional yet nothing really to complain about, though we found that an item or two was only on the special menu and not on the regular ones handed to the rest of the table. As you see they only handed us one of the special menuâs so it meant that one person had to look to see if they had something that another person didnât see. This happened to us when my mother wanted a beer. This was an easy thing to overcome and only a mild inconvenience. We order three lemonades, a ginger ale, and a glass of rose. Now, fast forward, the drinks arrive, I am personally excited as I like lemonade, however as I drink it I am disgusted. The lemonade manages to taste wrong in every way, it tastes like a significantly less tasty version of country time or crystal lite. Considering that this lemonade was 6 dollars for a smaller mason jar sized glass I am truly dissapointed. I made sure that it really was the lemonade and asked my family members and they confirmed. I then asked the waiter if I would be able to get a ginger ale instead and informed her of my problem. She was helpful and brought out the ginger ale instead. I tasted it and it lacked carbonation, general flavor, and a bit of a bite, not to mention a metalic undertone. It tasted like a fountain mix and not a normal or natural ginger ale like shweppes( I do not know how to spell it). My mother also mentioned that the rose tasted bitter. Now to the food, I had no problem with the kumomoto oysters or the calamari, both tasted good. The calamari had an unfamiliar or traditional sauce but it was welcome and worked well with the calamari. The lobster salad was good, though I do not speak out of experience, I am only quoting my family members. I was eating my crab cake at the time, which I thought was decent, though a ways from the best one iâve had. Then the lobster rolls came, my sister found a hair in hers. Though, for reasons I cannot explain, she just took it out and flicked it and kept eating. She also found about three quarters worth of shell in her roll give or take. The lobster itself was good, a nice buttery, salty bun. There were some tough and chewy bits though from the claw but that is not too bad. Though I have had much better, I reccomend lukes lobster bar if you are looking for an amazing lobster roll. Ah, now to the corn, oh the corn. It was some of the worst corn me and my family have ever eaten, the type of corn we would expect to find in a dennyâs in middle america. It was overcooked, many kernels were popped or lacerated, and the cob was cut into insufferably tiny sections. The corn was also not seasoned or buttered. Now! The end of the food portion, the burger. The bun was cheap, the type that you would get on a burger in school or somewhere like mcdonalds, also featuring that little bit of caked on flour on top. The lettuce was way too big for the burger, hitting you face a good inch before you got the burger itself. This all nicely complimented the american cheese melted over the patty. But the meat, oh my, I could tell they rushed it and cooked it on very high heat, as my âmedium rareâ was completely burned on the outside and goopy red on the inside. Now, to wrap it up, Iâm almost at the character limit so this will be brief. Meal was $419, way too much given the...
Read moreCaution for all and for consideration: The manager discriminates against people with disabilities, and does not follow ADA law. She told me she would need assess my service dog to determine if she was a legitimate trained service animal at the counter before allowing us in. She told me she has 11 dogs and can tell if a dog is a service animal. Embarrassed and surprised, despite not legally being required to, I offered her supporting documentation. She responded that sheâs not legally allowed to request that, and I reminded her that she is legally only allowed to ask me if my service dog is for medical purposes, and what service my dog is trained to perform. After answering those questions, she said she still needs to see for herself, and asked me what my dogâs name is. With my dog calmly sitting at my side, the manager crouched down lower and said my dogs name in an excited voice with her hands out to get her riled up. This behavior goes against all rules and etiquette that you are not supposed to intentionally engage with a service dog, because they are always working. My dog moved towards her to sniff, and the manager crouched down further to excitedly pet her. She then told me she would make an exception this time and allow us on the patio, but that we would need to leave if she barked, of which she didnât. It is an ADA legal requirement to allow trained service dogs anywhere its handler is present for a wide range of needs, and this manager thought she knew better and could make up her own rules. Any level of discrimination doesnât make for a welcoming nor inclusive experience, and I would encourage the establishment to familiarize themselves with ADA laws...

Duryea's Lobster Deck has an original ordering concept that you can usually only find in all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants. After being sit, you're handed the menu and an ordering sheetđ where you can circle the items and quantities you want to order. Then, you get up to hand it to the counter and payđ” right away. Good thing, the menu prices are with đService includedđ.
This kinda gives a convivial atmosphere than is emphasized by the picnic looking tables. You even get blankets when it's cold or windy!
We ordered the baked and raw clams which both were excellent. So were the oysters. Very good food.
I found it very pricey but, it's the Hamptons and Montauk, you know the đždrillđž.
So why only the two stars, when it obviously deserved four!? We also ordered Clam Chowder. We didn't get Clam Chowder but Lobster Bisque. (they are really easy to differentiate, the former is a broth with Clam chunks when the latter is thick and creamy without chucks). So we informed the waiter which, after checking with the kitchen, ensured us it was Clam Chowder. Then comes the manager insisting it's Clam Chowder and that they have changed the recipe. You can make mistakes, we may even had keep it. But lying to you customers is not ok. Plus, we French take our food seriously, and aren't easy to fool!
So should you go? Definitely if you're ok with the prices. Just ask for the recipe first if you're into...
