Kenny's Castaways — Restaurant in Town of East Hampton

I am Absolutely repulsed by the treatment by their manager. It was 5:30pm on a Tuesday evening and my husband and I were in the process of checking in to Kenny's hotel, there were people being helped and I needed to use the ladies room. I went into the restaurant, there was one person at the bar not another soul in the place. I asked to use the ladies room, the bartender kindly apologized and said only guests. I explained there was a large group coming in for dinner later and that it was urgent to then hear a voice in the background, "guests only". She said, he's the manager. I left the place, confused and upset. As a healthcare provider you are kind and caring to people, don't let people suffer and this man has no sympathetic bone in his body. I went back in and walked over to the manager as he proceeded to stare at his phone as I expressed my disappointment. That man didn't make eye contact with me once. I was absolutely disgusted by his behavior, and the way he disrespected his potential costumer. Although I am no longer working in the restaurant business, there is NO REASON To treat another human being with such disrespect and disregard. Completely unprofessional and 2 days after a hurricane, I am sure they could use some business. I will tell all of my friends to avoid this restaurant...

I was staying at the hotel attached to this place so I decided to give it a try. The menu looked nice and I was excited. Upon walking in I could tell that there was mainly an older crowd in the restaurant (I'm 25) but I asked for a table regardless. The owner immediately seemed disinterested with my being there and persuaded me to sit at the bar, presumably so he didn't have to wait on me. The food was good, but the tomato sauce for my lasagna was most definitely canned, and at over 100 dollars for my single meal and 3 drinks that was not nearly good enough in my opinion. Then, while I was eating the owner made some rounds to talk to everyone in the restaurant (even the other patrons at the bar) except for me. It’s hard to disappoint 3 tipsy girls hungry for late night pizza but Kenny’s managed. •Their $18 drinks were packed with sugar and tasted like robitussin. when replacing the drink for a vodka soda, they didn’t fix the price on the bill. •The shrimp was subpar, and that cocktail sauce was a disaster mix of ketchup and some odd grey goo on top. •The beet salad was inedible. It was just diced canned beets smothered in vinegar, with walnuts so hard they’ll crack your teeth. •The Inferno “Pizza”, having zero inferno qualities, claims to have ‘Nduja, but it tasted like ‘Ndoodoo.

The only reason I’m comfortable leaving 1-Star is because the meatballs, though they weren’t my Nana’s, were tolerable.
