I hate to leave a bad review for this beautiful hotel but I have to. Food was okay. Not worth $30 per entree. I got the black pepper fettuccine for $27. Pasta was not cooked enough, sauce tasted like nothing. I make homemade alfredo myself and I could do so much better. The biggest problem is that I substituted the chicken that came with the entree for shrimp since I am a pescatarian, he said it would be a slight up-charge, no problem. Bill was $7 added for 5 pieces of shrimp. Like what??? $34 for nothing. Service from our waiter was horrible. Our waiter made us wait 15+ for mustard (starting cleaning tables and doing other stuff). Came back and asked again because he knew what he was forgetting then grabbed it. After, he didn't come back after until it was time for the bill. Neglected to bring us more water as needed. The restaurant was not even busy! We gave him multiple times to improve his service (maybe he was having a bad night, understaffed, etc) and he did not. I am not the person to write bad reviews. I want to be able to support local restaurants but when this happens, I will never come back.

Gluten and soy-free diner here. First, my wife and I need to thank the reservations staff who answered the phone late yesterday afternoon and were able to squeeze us in for dinner. We were not disappointed! Their space is bright, and it overlooks Chautauqua Lake. Our server, Gabby, helped me navigate their menu, and she let me know that I could order gluten-free pasta with my crab, scallops, and shrimp scampi. It was topped with Parmigiano cheese and tomatoes, and it was delicious! My wife's Filet Mignon was cooked to her liking (medium rare), so we were two for two. For dessert, Gabby mentioned that they had one gluten-free offering. But she did not know if it was soy-free. Thankfully, she checked because the ingredient list, which she brought to our table, because their gluten-free dessert did contain soy lecithin. Thank you once again, Gabby, for looking out for me, and we will be back sooner rather than later.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the hotel restaurant. From the moment we sat down, our waiter Tyrone made us feel welcome and taken care of. He was attentive without being overbearing, had great recommendations, and made sure everything was just right throughout our meal. The food was fantastic — the pork chops were perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The porterhouse steak was equally impressive, tender and cooked exactly as ordered. We also had the calamari to start, which was crispy and not greasy at all — a great appetizer. Our drinks were spot on too: a well-paired mix of beer and wine that made the evening even better. Great service, great food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend — and definitely ask for Tyrone if you can!

Avoid This Place Like the Lake It Sits On (Which Smells Like Rotten Eggs)

If you’re in the mood to waste your time, money, and dignity, this place is perfect. I gave it two chances—because I believe in redemption—but this restaurant is a slow-motion train wreck that somehow keeps getting worse.

First Visit: Waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged. Then 18 minutes just to place an order. The food finally showed up 59 minutes later—overpriced and laughably small. When we asked for the check, the bartender had to track down our waitress, who was—plot twist—out back vaping marijuana. You can’t make this stuff up.

Second Visit: This was the real kicker. We waited 25–30 minutes, totally ignored. It wasn’t busy. The waitstaff just didn’t want to deal with us—it was 10 minutes before the breakfast shift ended, and it was painfully obvious they didn’t want to take a “last-minute” table. They walked by us multiple times, made eye contact, and deliberately avoided helping.

I even flagged someone down to ask where our server was—and still nothing, for another 15 minutes. That’s when we said forget it. As we walked out, I told the host we’d been sitting there for half an hour with not so much as a “hello” or water. His retort: you would’ve been waiting a long time for the food. It wasn’t that busy.

We drove to Panera and—get this—we had our food within five minutes, served with actual smiles. Go figure.

Bonus ambiance: the lake smells like rotten eggs from algae bloom. It’s like eating overpriced scraps next to a sulfur spring.

Bad service, tiny portions, high prices, and an atmosphere that smells like failure. You’ve...

Stay here but do not eat here like most of these reviews. Went to dinner, Sam was our waitress she rushes everything gave us our soups and meals together. Surf and turf soup was so gross and the broccoli cheese was like baby food blended. We could not eat the soups at all! The bread basket is disgusting why bother. Bread smells like old grease dirty cloth napkins. Well Hubby tried to play it safe with chef salad I got chicken quesadillas. Chicken was dark and red with veins looked like junk meat I would never even feed my dogs! Ugh wine and beer was good thats it! One girl asked how everything was (not our server) I told her would not feed it to my dogs. Then I showed her the meat and soup. She went somewhere got our meals taken off the bill. We did not want free food we wanted good food. I could go back in kitchen make better meals so disappointing. Our server never checked on us once after dropping food off. I would of like more wine Hubby a beer. Now we will venture out today for meals. What a bummer. We came in 2020 was same thing. 2 years ago had burnt food carousel bar and glass on my plate in lake house grill wow! Nothing has changed will be our last trip here tho..3 days here cannot eat here ugh. Also Derrick the bar tender is horrible! He must really hate his job to treat people the way he does ugh. Told my Husband he was busy when he was waiting for...

We went here for my in-laws anniversary. Our server was brand new. She was extremely nice, however, had no idea how to open a wine bottle, offer us bread as a starter or even offer us water. After placing an order for a bottle of wine we didn't see her for another 15 minutes before she brought out the bottle of wine. Even then, she did not have water for us. This was on a Tuesday night. They were busy but not to the point of which our service should be delayed as much as it was. Our food was brought out, still with no water. After two of us were finally done with our meals, our server came up asking if we needed anything else. We asked for water and inquired about the bread that we saw many other tables get. Our server stated she'd get us everything and apologized. 10 minutes later she came out with a tray full of all of our water (4 of us), another bottle of wine and our bread. As she got closer, she accidentally spilled all of it. She apologized profusely and went back inside. Another 10 minutes later, a manager (we think) came out with another bottle of wine and opened it for us. Eventually, the server came back out with water and the bread. After the multiple delays with everything, we were there for an hour and a half. For a relatively expensive meal, our service we below average. Decent food, not great service and...
