Antoinette's is adorable. There is no denying that. Unfortunately the once-outstanding food has gone down hill. I order the same breakfast everytime I'm here, and I waited to write a critical review in case the decline in quality was a fluke. Sadly, the last 3 times I've been here for breakfast (over the last 9 months probably) my waffle has been overcooked and dry. I'm sad because their waffles used to be perfect. Today my omelette was also not good. The cheese was not melted, ingredients were not distributed evenly, and there were about 3 tablespoons of cooking oil on the plate under my food. The service is a little manic too. The small space is often crowded and at peak times workers appear harried and on edge. Today despite the server asking where we were sitting, he offered our food to the neighboring table. As they said 'not ours' I said 'it's ours.' Nevertheless, the server whisked it away without so much as a glance, set it next to the tub of dirty dishes, and then a teenage employee brought it out to us. Very strange. The fact is I'll be back in a few months because there's nowhere else quite like this nearby. But it's just too bad about the decline in quality...
Read moreThis place is a quiet cafe that packs a wonderful punch. Literally was swept away by the nice staff that greets customers has they walk in and leave the establishment. The food comes out fast and is delivered to your table. I had the waffles with fresh fruit and cream, sour cherry Danish, 24k muffin, and the ham and gruyere croissant. The waffles were a bit dry but when combined with the fresh fruit and cream it was truly a bite to remember. 24k muffin is gluten free and made with coconut flour. I was surprised by how decadent and moist the inside of the muffin was. The ham and gruyere croissant was made with a one layer of ham and one layer of cheese. I really enjoyed the balance of each layer not overpowering each other. I am looking forward to going back and enjoying another bite....

I've been going once a week the past month, and I've tried almost everything this place offers. The food is incredible (I'm most partial to the croissants). From the coffee to the breakfast offerings to the truffles, I haven't had something I didn't think was excellent. And they make it all in-house!
The staff is great. I've been in during busy times and slower times, and they're always working hard and friendly. (And the cute barista behind the counter is always nice to see.)
I've worked in service in the past and so it's impressive to see them in action when the lines start forming. Really love going there. Can't recommend this place...
