Harvest on Hudson — Restaurant in Town of Greenburgh

The worst experience in my life has been at this establishment. I've been in the hospitality industry for more that 10 years and never, EVER have I felt so miserable walking out of this restaurant. Upon arriving to the table, I notified the server, young blond girl with her sister (I forgot their names) that they were going to be taking care of my boyfriend and I, that I had a server allergy to mint. Please hear my experience. We came here from very high recommendations from a few friends of ours and we thought it would've been a perfect date night idea. We're also driving from NJ so it took us about an hour and a half to get there. We arrive, and we sit by the window. Beautiful atmosphere. The server arrives and we ask for our drinks and put in orders for appetizers and we asked for bread as well since it was upon request. We literally wait for 20 minutes for water, another 20 minutes for appetizers, THEN our drinks. We asked again for bread, never got it. Then the 3rd time we asked again for bread. Like 3 different people. ?? I still don't understand this. The server was literally playing around in the corner, joking with the other staff members and the restaurant wasn't even busy. Very poor service and we felt maybe we were being judged because we're Hispanic? Then, after our appetizers, we shared an entree and a salad. The food and drinks were really good but honestly the WORST HOSPIALITY I EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. so then, We asked for after dinner drinks and of course, my drink had a mint garnish after clearly telling the server 1st thing I have a severe allergy Then I tell the server, she changes it, brings me another one and guess what The drink has MUDDLED MINT in it. I was so confused If there's an allergy, it should be taken seriously. I also noticed the mint in the drink after drinking it and tasting it on my mouth. Mind you, this drink was like some bailey's and Jameson after drink, I forgot the name but it was on their dessert menu. At this point, I'm freaking out because me and my boyfriend are an hour away from home, I didn't have an Epi-pen or anything like that. So my tongue goes numb, and I'm freaking out. We call the manager over, Matthew. Does absolutely nothing about the situation. These people really don't care about their guests. Please avoid coming here AT ALL COSTS. Matthew saw we paid, didn't even over to take stuff off the bill like I still don't understand why we went through this horrible experience. He mentioned "next time you guys come we'll take care of you" I dont ever want a next time you shouldve done something RIGHT THERE. I really wish they shut down this place for their horrible attention to detail and very poor hospitality. I went to my car and cried my eyes out because of this experience. We were a party of 5, we had a very pleasant experience at Harvest on Hudson last Friday.

As soon as we arrived, a girl greeted us. She had us sitting down near the huge windows inside the restaurant but not close enough, so due to the day being the nicest day of the year so far, we requested for our table to be prepared outside, if there was no issue with the change.

It was about 1:30 pm, I don’t really know whether the third to last table in the patio was our only option or if she was just avenging the fact that we asked to be moved twice that she gave us that table for us 5, where only two people got some shade from the sun and the rest were literally on a grill. Yeeeeezzzussss!

We were in the restaurant for about 3 to 4 hours, not quite sure because despite having the sun right on us, frying my skin, my partner’s, and my aunt’s, we were having an amazing time. The hours were like running a marathon, passing by so fast that we didn’t even notice.

I can’t remember our servers’ names. One of them was a young pale man, with lots of hair, kinda blondie, the other one was a Colombian middle age man, both extremes attentive and polite, wish I remembered their names to shoot them out for their excellent service.

We had a variety of appetizers to be shared, I personally LOVED them all: Seafood tower (we had the small portion), their delicious burrata, and some sautéed shrimp in a spicy sauce that was also incredible. I can’t decide which one was better because they all were.

I loved their food variety, literally a little of everything.

My favorite fact about this sensational restaurant is that they grow a huge variety of their own products for us, clientele, to delight in our finished plates and food choices. Really really loved that!!!!

We had the pleasure to taste their refreshing Red Sangria, it was was very delicious and had us asking for more every time our cups were near empty.

Their desserts were definitely the part that made my day... O.M.G!!! I have to recommend their mouthwatering Chocolate Chip Cookie Gelato Sundae. That was definitely love at first bite and every other bite!!!

I had been wanting to come to Harvest on Hudson since last June and we finally made it. After having the pleasure to delight their exquisite food, all I want is to come here every week to try something new from their menu.

The short rib ragu over house-made pappardelle was decadently rich without feeling heavy, and the roasted vegetable grain bowl offered a lighter, yet equally satisfying option. Portion sizes are generous, and each dish demonstrates a clear respect for high-quality produce and proteins.
