Best Cook — Restaurant in Town of Guilderland

I'm hoping one of the worst Chinese meals I've had in a long time was a one time issue. I've been eating here for 3 years and I drive 20 minutes from my home since they usually do an above average "Chinese lunch" meal at a reasonable price. We'll today was different and hopefully it will never happen again or I will save my gasoline! Let me first say that it was Wednesday. This restaurant starting closing on Tuesdays in the past year. That means that there is always going to be a possibility that on Wednesday when they open that their high volume food like fried rice was made on Monday. They usually do a decent job with fried rice and normally it is a lighter color when fresh. This was darker and looked old and sure enough it was dry and not tasty. The restaurant also made a mistake on my order. They gave me someone's else's meal. What they gave me was something I sometimes eat, lo mein so I ate it. I believe this too is a high volume item and it too looked old and was not tasty. Next I like that this restaurant still gives a full pint of soup with their lunch special. Today I had wonton soup and you guessed it, this too was well below average. The broth was mostly water and the meat in the wontons was not palatable to me. Lastly for 40 years I've enjoyed a good Chince roast pork and this restaurant typically does a good job with it. The pork in both the lo mein and fried rice was apparently old and dark so not the normal fresh looking lighter colored roast pork...and it tasted old. Hopefully this restaurant has not made changes to the quality of their food and I will try them a few more times but NEVER on Wednesday at lunch time. I am updating this review and now a few times I have found the food to be of better quality and I will continue to be a customer here for the foreseeable future. I HAVE NOT RETURNED ON A WEDNESDAY. I Believe my thought process was correct and that Wednesdays at lunch time you risk getting some items that were cooked (like rice,roast pork and lo mein)two...

The last 2 times I went there they messed up. I have been going here for years. They are rude and don't care to loose any customers. My last order was completely messed up and I called and told them they told me I would have a credit for my next order. I tried to order again and they refused to give me all the credit that was owed then told me they don't care and hung up. I will never go there again and they don't care his words

In regards to your response, I most definitely had to call after getting home and Not consuming the food. Maybe if you guys could get the order right the first time maybe we wouldn't be calling after leaving. So yes there has been numerous times having to call and get things correct. Trust my business will be appreciated elsewhere. And the only reason I was rude was because after speaking with 3 different people he told me that they don't care about any of this and hung up on. What the hell happened? This used to be my favorite Chinese before I found China star that was closer, I got a general tso chicken as thats all I eat at Chinese food places, IT LITERALLY TASTED LIKE RUBBER. The food was not fresh what so ever so I definitely got the "end of the day" food like it was sitting there and someone put it in the microwave, I couldn't even eat it. This is not okay, this will make people sick. Go to China star or somewhere else cause this was absolutely disgusting. Do not waste your time or money and don't risk your health.
