Updated review post covid. The folks at the Route 20 Cafe stayed open all through out the crisis and have come out better for it. Still have the best breakfast sandwiches and full breakfast hot off the grill, bar none (no microwaved egg or Denny’s chain breakfast here). Great lunch specials and grab and go or eat it there entrees for lunch and dinner. Always have traditional favorites like goulash and meatloaf and they come up with different meals all the time. If you don’t see something on the menu ask, nine times out of ten they can make it on the spot. It’s about buying local too, this is a mom and pop shop that uses local sources as well and supports people here, no corporate chain nonsense. Hands down the best cheeseburger I have had, anywhere in the tri- city in more than five years! Quality of beef is super, hot juicy scrumptious Cheese 🍔 real 🧀 luscious tomatoe slices, crispy fresh pickles, Perfect golden 🍟. Went for first time..asked about suggestions for feeding six adults sandwiches at a luncheon. I had many request and special considerations. I cannot say enough good things about the service and suggestions from Rachelle (?sp). Ended up getting a variety of subs, potato salad and all fixings on the side. My guest raved about how good and fresh everything was. Everyone asked where I got the food. It was so good, I am considering ordering Christmas dinner from them and saving myself a lot of work.
