The Bagel Jar: To-Go — Restaurant in Town of Hamburg

TLDR - Great food, terrible location.

First off, make sure you place your order online, and at least 25 minutes before you plan on going there or don't bother.

Parking for this place is street parking only (aside from two spots in front), which is normally fine depending on the volume of a business, but with how busy this place is it turns into a general nuisance to the area and traffic hazard. People were parking on the non parking side of the road, poorly performing three point turns, and turning the two way street into only passable for one lane of traffic at a time. I ended up parking about 600 feet away. I feel bad for the residents of this area.

Food tasted great, we got bagel sandwiches and an iced coffee. They did have a mistake on my sandwich, but it wasn't a huge deal.

The inside is only big enough to order or pick up your food with a few tables outside.

Ordered ahead. Our bagel sandwiches were ready while we were still on the way and were delicious. The people giving 1 star due to wait without even trying the food are ridiculous. How can you give an accurate review of a restaurant before even trying their food?!?! Drives me insane when people do that. Also, doing research before going to a restaurant is on you. They have an extremely easy ordering system on their website. They literally advertise this location as a to-go location. Bashing them for things they literally tell you about their restaurant is insane. You all don’t go out much and have no respect for a small business that does a great job of informing customers of expectations on their website and social media. I think this location has done an excellent job of making it convenient for customers to get their food quickly with the order ahead option and are making the best of their unique small location. This is the First Bagel Shop I’ve found in the Buffalo area with Bagels worth eating. I’m not ashamed to admit that I am a bagel snob. Whenever I go downstate I’ll get two dozen bagels to bring home. I freeze them and take them out as needed. Bagels made in Buffalo are generally garbage. But the Bagel Jar had good Bagels! I didn’t even notice this place until I saw it while on a morning run recently. Most all Bagels downstate rate between a 9-10. I’ll give the Bagel Jar an 8.2. Solid Solid score considering I haven’t found a Buffalo area Bagel above a 3. Can’t wait to try a breakfast bagel next time. I walked and ordered 4 Bagels.
