ZJ's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Hamburg

I walked in and told the young girl behind the register that it was just me. She tried to get me to sit on those swivel seats at the counter and I said I wanted a booth seat instead to support my spine. She then had to ask a guy working there if it was ok for me to have a booth seat. He told her I could sit whetever I wanted to. So I sat down and a nice gal with purple in her hair and wearing a pirple shirt came to me and gave me a menu and asked what drink I would like. She never offered me her name. I ordered my meal and then saw another guy walk in who was seated at the counter in those swivel seats. He was served his meal before I got mine. He finished his meal and paid for it and left and I was still waiting for my meal! I waited over 20 minutes for my meal to be brought out to me! At one point, I watched a couple of the waitresses makes milkshakes for themselves, both cooks left the cooking area, and sat there wondering if I should've just paid for my cup of soup and then left. I finally got a chance to ask my waitress if my meal was almost done and then I saw the red bearded cook coming back to the cooking part. Quite a long beard with no beard cover on. After 22 minutes, my meal was finally brought out to me and the waitress said it took so long because the cook burnt the first sirloin and had to make another one for me. The dinner roll that came with my meal was ice cold. The chopped sirloin patty had no seasoning in or on it. The meal wasn't worth the $19 they priced it as. I paid the bill but left no tip. I said I wasn't going to come back again and the young girl waitresses just laughed at me. Nobody wore gloves to handle the food being cooked. The prices are overpriced, and the service of the young waitresses needs improvement. They were too busy laughing and joking with each other while I was waiting all that time for my food. 1 STAR for the lousy service. 3 STARS for the ok food. 1 STAR...

The town of Hamburg seems to be the home of the best breakfast. So far my wife and I have gone to three different places just to try out the breakfast experience and they've all been excellent. The pancakes might be the exception as in they weren't excellent but they were still very good. The eggs were done perfectly as if somebody was trained to be a chef and they were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of skin and an over easy egg. Bacon was fried perfectly. Not too chewy nor too crispy and overdone. My wife loves her Canadian bacon. The home fries had a nice brown crunchy skin on one side and tender white seasoned potatoes which were tender and full of of goodness on other side. My coffee was kept mostly full with one or two slight lapses but nothing start killing. The staff was friendly enough but definitely seemed like they were working versus greeting family members. Overall was it worthwhile visit with clean fest service in really good food. Definitely worth a visit if you live in Hamburg and near it heavier a little bit farther out of town. The other two places I would recommend to visit first, but this place is definitely worth a visit if you are frequently looking for a breakfast spot and you're with the...

ZJ's....!!!.... You came to my rescue. I originally headed to a previously visited restaurant that suggested I could get Eggs Benedict when I arrive at their designated hours.... got there and SP L.J AT in the face............ I had you folks in the 'rolodex' in this event...........

Can I give them 6? Went there again today asking for Eggs Benedict and without surprise... except they did serve the wrong meat...I asked for Canadian bacon but got huge slabs of DELICIOUS ham... don't do that again! The dish was so divine, I left a 5 dollar tip for a 12 dollar brunch.

I am old school phone trying meaning I don,t do it....

But I can't talk I just wanna tell you that that restaurant is top notch and even though it's not rated high end restaurant, I dare you too convince me that the TASTE would disappoint you taste bud, and besides the restaurant is keenly designed and VERY comfortably set to accomplish your appetite's desire.

In the end. If they make something you do not like, I would be so surprised as you. Another taste you NEVER ...
