Mountain View Deli — Restaurant in Town of Haverstraw

Friendly and honest people still do exist. I was recently in Pomona as I had a listing in Town for the first time in quite awhile (I'm a Realtor) and was up the street right around lunchtime. I went online looking for a good deli and Mt View came up with these glowing reviews and a fantastic menu. I looked at the online ordering options and clicked on Seamless and put in my order. I arrived at the Deli a short while later and they had no record of my order. I showed them the receipt I had on my phone and they determined that they re not currently hooked up with Seamless. However, seeing this was a genuine error they offered to make my lunch FREE of charge because of the mixup and I had paid - despite the fact they would not be paid. I was in total shock. In today's day and age it's all about money and putting problems on others to fix. NOT HERE.

Truly genuine, friendly, and nice staff. Customer service does still matter here. As for my chipotle chicken sandwich? Absolutely MARVELOUS. I wish I was in Town more often as I would be here ALL THE TIME.

Don't miss this place. The food is great and even better. They're fantastic people....

By far best deli I have ever been too.. That is saying a lot as well. This includes New York, New Jersey and Connecticut these guys get it right! Family owned business where the people actually care. There is no skimping when it comes to their sandwiches either. I also highly recommend the bakery section, they have the best strawberry shortcake of all time and the tri-colored cookies are unbelievable.

Also, anyone complaining about masks, unprofessionalism, etc.. is completely wrong and should be ashamed. All of the employees take proper care and are very clean. People will go to McDonalds and not complain because they are wearing a mask? Meanwhile there's rats running around a kitchen and people not washing their hands! Here at Mountain View, they don't even use the same slicer for meat and cheeses! That right there shows how clean this place is. ...

Fix your breakfast menu! How are you still charging $8.99 for the grand slam breakfast that does not include french toast when it is being advertised as such online? You get the same thing as the hobo and sobo meal with a choice of bread for much less. I called to speak to them about it and the lady I spoke to was not only rude but then also sarcastically asked why I didn’t order the hobo or sobo if it was the same thing. So you basically just admitted that you’re overcharging your customers for the grand slam meal? You removed an item but kept the same price, which is very deceitful. Oh and make sure you check your Cobb salad before leaving the store, they always “forget” to include the bacon. Needless to say, never...
