First off, the food here is incredible. The fish is always fresh, the sides are flavorful, and you can tell there’s real love going into the cooking. It’s the kind of spot that makes you crave seafood even when you didn’t plan to. And I have to give credit to the lady taking orders—she’s consistently kind, calm, and genuinely pleasant every time. You can tell she’s doing her best, even when it gets hectic.
But during my visit, I saw something that left a bad taste—not in the food, but in the customer experience. A man waiting over an hour for his food understandably got frustrated and asked for a refund. The guy working the register didn’t handle it well at all. He was rude, defensive, and totally out of line. Instead of defusing the situation, he made things worse. Watching that interaction was overwhelming and upsetting—especially because the customer was just trying to express valid frustration.
It's really disappointing to see that kind of behavior in a place with such fantastic food and hardworking staff. The lady taking orders deserves credit for holding it all together, but the man behind the counter? He needs to seriously reflect on how he treats people. If the vibe doesn’t match the quality of the food, it can hurt the business—and that would be a real shame.
Here’s hoping the team can work on communication and service. Because when the food’s this good, you want the whole...

First time I ordered from here, when I went to pick up the food the restaurant was busy (I ordered over the phone). My order was incorrect when I got BUT when I called they were happy to make it right. I ended up getting to keep the extra shrimp which kinda compensated my having to drive back again. Things happen and they apologized, so I let it go. This time while picking up my take out order, the credit card machine defaults to a tip and I end up paying 1. A credit card fee which I accept as their cost of business for me not using cash then 2. A tip for $10.51 for which apparently they were unable to void the transaction to correct it or offer me something as compensation... besides cornbread... I don't need a 3rd time to know this ain't the spot for me......
Read moreThe fried chicken and fish are great. I don't like their potato salad, but it may have been the day I went but it had no salt or seasoning which is surprising because their other items are well seasoned. I also don't like their macaroni and cheese, or candied yams/sweet potatoes but I not say it's bad as it's my personal preference on how those things are made.
One one occasion they didn't have change so bought something else. My change was supposed to be $6.96... I said, I have a nickel so you can just give me a dollar versus all that change. The cashier proceeds to say all we have is 50 cents... umm if I give a nickle ( really 4 cents) you should be giving me a dollar. This isn't my first experience when they didn't have change. It's surprising because there are so many local banks that can provide rolled coins or small bills upon request.
All and all I say support local businesses and the seafood...
