This is a pub type restaurant. I went for brunch. The brunch menu has a selection of approximately 12 items, mostly eggs dishes. We waited for approximately a half hour for a table. The bar was full. Everyone was watching the football game. There was not a lot of room to stand around waiting for a table but we did find a chair to sit in, out of the way of the wait staff carrying dishes in and out of the kitchen. The hostess was nice but aloof. We waited for a wait person to come by for at least another 20 minutes after we sat down. A bus boy gave us two pieces of crumb cake in a large bread basket. The waitress came by and asked f we would like a drink. I ordered a bloody Mary and my friend ordered a cola. We both ordered the steak and eggs Benedict from the brunch menu, which allegedly came with unlimited bloody Mary, mimosas, or screwdrivers. After receiving our first drink from the wait staff, I wanted a glass of water. It took another 15 minutes to find the waitress. We put our order in. The food came very fast. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was well seasoned. We had to find the waitress to ask for more crumb cake. We received 2 more small pieces of crumb cake. After the food arrived, we never saw the waitress again. The tater tots were horrible extremely greasy. The fries were cold. The eggs Benedict were definitely made ahead of time, as they arrived cold. Prices are expensive for the quality of the food. The service was terrible. Plus the person who ordered the cola was charged $5 for two sodas. Don't forget the brunch came with unlimited bloody Mary's, mimosas, screwdrivers, juices, and coffee. The waitress never said a word about the extra charge. I never received my coffee. Maybe the next patron will receive my coffee. I would not recommend...
Read moreMy recent experience was not great. After patiently waiting an awfully long time for a seat, I was seated by the open door. Barbara came, greeted me nicely, brought water and took my order and that was the last time she came to me. By this time, the restaurant was not as crowded as earlier and she kept coming to all the tables near mine to attend to the customers, but never once came to mine. Each time, I was in her line of sight, just one table away from the last customers in a small dining area.
My meal came about 15 minutes later and still no Barbara. The small glass of water she had given me over 15 minutes earlier was now empty. I kept eating with nothing to drink. It was unbelievable. I saw her multiple times coming to the tables near mine but not mine. The restaurant seating area is pretty small, so there was no way she did not see me. I waited patiently for the moment of eye contact but it never occurred. I eventually got up to the ordering area looking for someone to get me water. This was when I became visible to Barbara. She apologized, got me water but by then I had lost my appetite. I asked to pack my meal. She apologized again and gave a discount as though money was my issue. I paid, TIPPED then left. I was furious by then. I did not feel welcome and being the only one in there that looked like me made me wonder if I missed the sign...
Read moreWe chose to celebrate a birthday brunch here. Overall a terrible experience except for the nice waitress. First, the mimosas had watered down OJ and were served in a tall glass with ice. Ice, really?? They should be in a flute glass and not be 95% champagne and no flavor, watered down OJ that ruined the flavor. It was the same for the peach mimosas. Second, four of us ordered either the regular eggs benedict or the crabcake eggs benedict. Every one of them had overcooked poached eggs and barely a drizzle of hollandaise sauce. It was like eating hardboiled eggs over canadian bacon with hardly any sauce. A five person thumbs down of a brunch. If we could give this place a minus rating for the food we would. The waitress tried to do what she could and mentioned everything to the manager, who did come over and tried to make it right. Had this been a regular visit we would have given it a pass but it was for a birthday celebration. You can't simply forgive and forget on a special day. We chose this restaurant based on the ratings and the packed restaurant midday while we sat there was a positive sign, but the food was awful. We had a negative experience and will never...
