Carvel — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I always had nothing to say but positive things to say about carvels in West Hempstead I use to take my boys there when they were younger then visit the pound across the street now i take my elderly dad I few months ago I was sooo disappointed on how I was treated I went to carvels one evening about 10pm I normally don’t go there this late but my son and I was in the mood for some ice cream so I drive to the side I was told I had to order at the window I said oh your are close the guy said we are closing and cleaning I will take your order here ok no problem so after I get my ice cream and start to pull away he then unlocks the door and let to caucasian women inside I was so upset to see this I didn’t go back and say anything but I did reach out the next day for a manager finally someone got back to me and then said the manager will review the tape the next day the manager said she was sorry she did see the tape and they had a meeting and she said the next time I come into Carvel’s, there will be a gift card waiting for me. I thought that was very nice. I still feel very uncomfortable about the whole situation. I feel in this day and time we should all be treated fairly and that’s one day I don’t feel like I was treated fairly. We have to do better if these places in our neighborhood want our business I’m just saying. please, everyone if you see something in our area and it’s not right, please post it so others are aware....

The ice cream flavors at Carvel are to die for! 😍 They have a fantastic selection, including some new flavors that blew me away. 🍨 And the best part is, their classic flavors are still as delicious as ever.

The location of Carvel across from Halls Pond Park is simply perfect. 🌳 The ambiance is lovely, and you can enjoy your ice cream while taking in the scenic views. 🌞 Definitely a spot worth checking out!

This Carvel location is a cute little spot in my area. My husband and I love to bring our daughter here to put a smile on her face. I was very hesitant to write this review but unfortunately we recently had a terrible experience with one of the employees that works there and it’s not our first time, we let the other times go. He shouts when taking our order, doesn’t give us 5 seconds to choose what we want and before we can finish our order he shouts again, “what’s next” on top of his lungs. I don’t understand why he seems so hostile. Every other employee is nice a respectful. His co worker also gave him a look as he’s yelling. He needs to be trained on customer service because it seems as if he forgot that this is a customer...
