Carvel — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I was at this location tonight and purchased 2 Sunday's with a coupon buy one get one free! Upon check out the girl who helped me, proceeded to tell me that I cannot use the coupon. Her explanation was that it wasn't a medium size Sunday. Mind you NOWHERE in the coupon did it specify size. I tried to explain to her that the coupon specifically read buy one not buy one of a specific size therefore she had to honor the coupon. Also NOWHERE in the store was their a sign that reads if you have a coupon buy one and get one its one a specific size. I told her then I don't want it and instead of selling me the ice cream it made her feel better to dump it!!! So now she wasted her bosses money instead of making the sale. Great employee!! Mind you I have shopped at this location for 30 years and I never ever had a problem. Sorry but this employee needs to be reprimanded because the customer was NOT wrong because the coupon did not specif size and NOWHERE in the store does it specify the size of a buy one get one free. These location is usually busy, but they have plenty of employees to tackle the crowd. They have a big selection of soft serve in comparison to most locations. My favorite is the pistachio soft serve. This place has a great premade frozen novelty selection, from mini cones and mini ice cream bars, mini ice cream cookie sandwiches, mini ice cream cups bonnets, sundaes, and a great selection of cakes. This place also serves mini, small, medium, and large ice cream options. The carvels by my house don't sell a mini option so i thought that was nice. Always get your receipt bc there's usually a coupon on it for a free ice cream...

Young man didn't hand me my bag of ice cream after the purchase was complete. He walked away from me to help someone else before finishing with me and my daughter. I had to ask his coworker to hand me our ice cream since the original young man walked away. He was also standoffish and in a rush to move on to the next customer.
