Chickens Road — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

For starters when I got my food it was cold as if it came from the refrigerator. Pretty sure that’s because my Uber driver made other stops before me. And it took him forever to pick the food up from the restaurant. There was a few things missing from my order. Not sure if it was an error on the restaurant or my driver. Unfortunately the portion sizes compared to the cost of their family meals is outrageous in my opinion. I got the two whole chicken family meal w 4 “large” sides. The sides were definitely not family size sides. That meal consists of 16 pieces of chicken and should feed at minimum 8 ppl. The sizes of the side definitely are not capable of doing that. I still had to cook more food to be able to feed a family of 5. This is with 3 toddlers. Out of all the food we received the yellow rice was the best thing & my kids loved the Mac & cheese. With that being said, the large Mac & cheese barely satisfies my 4,2 &1 yr olds they kept asking for more and it wasn’t any after they each got one serving. I will be going back to get more Mac & cheese and try the empanadas because my kids loved it and there wasn’t any...

UPDATE : (10/19/20) I've ordered a few times recently and they've been more consistent with getting the order right. Plus tonight I happened to have a rough night and the staff made a nice gesture in taking my order even though they were closed. I would say don't expect this if you're reading this, but I just wanted to say I appreciated it. Good food on a bad day can make things much better.

Loved this place at first, but the 2 stars is because they ALWAYS forget something that I order which is extremely frustrating. Then after you wait for yet another delivery while your food gets cold (or have to drive over there because you're too hungry to wait for another delivery), you have to pay for whatever they forgot to give you and they give you nothing complimentary or "extra" to even attempt to smooth things over.

Won't be ordering here for a while for this reason. They need to have a better system for taking orders or something because, I get that people make mistakes, but it happens too often...

If I could give a zero if I would, app won’t let me. The small portions for the high prices they charge is ridiculous. I ordered an extra large soup for almost 12$ , expecting a large portion and paying the extra money then the regular soup I was expecting a large portion. After I saw it I knew it was not an extra large portion. had to asked the waitress more than twice are you sure this is an extra large ?? She kept pointing at the plastic container and said yes it it. I’m a culinary chef from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school. And I can tell portions and they are sure ripping people off with their portions and high prices. I go to local Latin restaurants and order their soups and majority of their portions are big. Also most places don’t charge almost 6$ for an order of tostones , is crazy, I’m surprise they are still in business. Im Venezuelan and this place disappoints a lot.
